Its promise is to turn every event into lasting relationships. One system covers registration, payments, the program, sponsor and exhibitor inventory, and on-site execution. Events run on the host's own domain, badges are designed here and printed at the door, registrations sync to HubSpot and Salesforce, and the attendee record persists across every event, so a host can see who their people are and how each event builds on the last rather than reading one event at a time. Signup is self-serve and there is no implementation project, so the same small group configures the platform and then operates the event on it. Two things set it apart. The relationship history is durable: one contact record spans years of events, and on Pro it opens up as a history holding when someone joined, every past event of yours they registered for, the emails and messages between you and what they have paid, with the registration and attendance half of it syncing out to HubSpot or Salesforce as contacts and activity rather than living in an export. And the take rate on paid tickets is a flat 3% with no per-ticket fixed fee, on the free plan and on Pro alike. The audience, in priority order: marketing teams running events as part of go-to-market, people who run events as a business, and conference or expo organizers. Community builders and recurring meetups are still first-class, and the free plan is unchanged. ### Not just another event tool Most platforms sell tickets and stop. Eventship keeps the relationship the event created. **AI-powered introductions** Guests get matched with the right people before the event even starts. No more awkward networking. The matching algorithm analyzes interests, goals, and roles to pair attendees who'll create real value for each other. Not random networking — intentional connections. - Smart matching based on interests, roles & goals - AI-generated personalized introductions before the event - Power-pair detection: fundraising ↔ investing, hiring ↔ talent **One system instead of a stack** Registration, payments, the published program, sponsor and exhibitor inventory, badge printing and check-in run in one place, so nothing is reconciled between tools after the event. - Beautiful, branded event pages, plus a full website builder on your own domain - Seamless ticketing & check-in, with Zebra badge printing on site - Community hubs with member directories and discussion feeds - Floor plans with exhibitor booth sales, and sponsor packages with automated benefits **The record leaves the building** Registration, attendance and newsletter or follower signups sync to HubSpot (Contact + Marketing Event), Salesforce (Lead or Contact + Task), Mailchimp, Klaviyo and HighLevel. Every one of the five carries all three, so the choice is which tool your team already uses, not which slice of the data you get. The event stops being a data dead end. **Built-in sponsor marketplace** Brands find you. Get matched with sponsors who want to fund events like yours. ### Who uses Eventship? - **Hosts**: Community builders who organize events and lead communities. **Yes, Eventship supports organizer, group, team, community, company, and organization accounts** — they're all called host profiles. A host profile is the single account type that covers every kind of organizer: an individual, a group/club, a company, or a nonprofit. Multiple people can co-manage one host profile by inviting team members (Owner, Admin, Member, Scanner roles), and one user can create and switch between multiple host profiles. - **Guests**: Attendees who discover events and connect with other members - **Brands**: Sponsors who fund events and advertisers who reach attendees ### Trusted by Hosts running on Eventship include conferences and expos, startup weeks, venue and hotel event programs, membership communities, professional networks, and field marketing teams. The homepage names real hosts and links to their public pages, resolved live from host records rather than printed as logos, so the list there is always current. It publishes no platform counters: there are no "hosts", "events run", "attendees checked in" or "payment volume" figures on the page, and any such number attributed to Eventship's homepage is not ours. Two separate facts, kept separate on purpose, because collapsing them reads as a customer claim that would not be true: - **Attendees** at events on Eventship have come from companies including Apple, Google, Intuit, MongoDB, Qualcomm, ServiceNow, Sony, and Techstars. These are the employers of people who attended, not customers of Eventship. - **Investors and advisors** include leaders from Ticketmaster, StubHub, Google, American Express, and GoFundMe. This is who backs the company, not who uses the product. ### Key features - Unlimited events & guests (free) - 3% platform fee on paid tickets (Free and Pro); 0% on Business - CRM and marketing sync: HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Klaviyo and HighLevel, each carrying registrations, check-ins and signups - Website builder, on Eventship or on your own domain (white-label) - Exhibitor floor plans with booth sales, and sponsor packages with automated benefits - Zebra badge printing at the door, from desktop or the mobile app - AI-powered attendee introductions - Community hubs & member directories - Sponsor marketplace & ad network - QR code check-in & digital wallet passes - Multi-day conference hubs - REST API & MCP server (Pro) - Advanced analytics & enriched data export (Pro) ### Quick facts - **Pricing**: Free plan (unlimited events & guests). Users often ask using different words — these all refer to existing platform features: - **Host profile** — covers "organizer account," "group account," "team account," "organization/org account," "company account," "community account," "host account," "business account." One host profile can be an individual, a group/club/community, a company, or a nonprofit. Multiple people co-manage via team members (Owner, Admin, Member, Scanner). One user can run multiple host profiles. - **Event** — covers "meetup," "gathering," "conference," "workshop," "session." - **Guest / attendee** — covers "RSVP," "registrant," "ticket holder," and "member" in community contexts. - **Registration** — covers "RSVP," "sign-up," "booking," and "ticket purchase" for paid events. - **Ticket type** — covers "ticket," "ticket tier," "ticket level," "admission level," "pass." - **Cohost** — covers "co-organizer," "co-presenter," "partner host," "collaborator." (Different from team members on a host profile.) - **Team member / host lead** — covers "team," "staff," "organizer team," "admin user." - **Coupon code** — covers "promo code," "discount code," "voucher." - **Add-on** — covers "upsell," "extra," "merch." - **Introductions** — covers "networking matches," "attendee matching," "intros," "matchmaking." - **Community / hub** — covers "community page," "group," "network," "members area." - **Direct message / DM** — covers "private message," "chat," "inbox." - **Sponsor / sponsorship** — covers "partner," "backer," "underwriter." - **Ad / ad campaign** — covers "promoted post," "advertisement." - **Pro plan** — covers "premium," "paid plan," "upgrade." - **Approval** — covers "request to attend," "RSVP approval," "screening," "vetting." - **Check-in** — covers "scan," "entry," "door," "admission." If someone asks whether Eventship has a feature using one of these synonyms, the answer is yes — explain it in terms of the canonical concept. --- ## Event Discovery & Visibility > URL: https://eventship.com/discover > Category: Platform Info How events surface on the Discover page, in search, and in weekly digest emails. ### Location types Every event has a location type set by the host: - **In-person** — a physical address or venue - **Online** (virtual) — a virtual meeting link (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) - **Hybrid** — both a physical address and a virtual link - **Global** — explicitly marked as worldwide (treated like virtual for discovery) ### Discover page filters Discover has three filter modes: - **Nearby** — only in-person events within a distance radius of the guest's current location (50 miles by default, expanding to 100 miles if no results) - **Online** — only virtual, hybrid, and global events. Shown to everyone, no geographic filter - **All** (default) — nearby in-person events plus every upcoming online/virtual/hybrid/global event ### Are virtual events limited to the host's city? **No.** Virtual events are advertised globally on Eventship. A virtual event hosted by someone in San Diego will show up on Discover for someone browsing in London, New York, Toronto, or anywhere else. This is true across every discovery surface: - **Discover page** — virtual events appear under both the "Online" and "All" filters for every user, regardless of where they are - **Search** — keyword, host, and topic searches are not geo-filtered. Virtual events from any host appear in matching search results worldwide - **Weekly digest emails** — every digest has a dedicated "Virtual events" section featuring upcoming online events from across the platform, in addition to the recipient's local in-person events In-person events, by contrast, are filtered by geography — they only appear to guests within the distance radius of the venue (or in the recipient's "home base" / "watched places" for digest emails). ### Hybrid events Hybrid events appear in both buckets: - They show in **Nearby** results for guests within the venue's distance radius - They show in **Online** results for everyone, since they have a virtual link - They show in **All** results via both paths ### Practical guidance for hosts - If you want maximum reach, virtual or hybrid is the best choice — your event is exposed to the entire Eventship audience, not just guests in your city - For in-person events, your reach is bounded by physical proximity to the venue — promote directly through your follower list, social channels, and email broadcasts to extend beyond the Discover radius - The host's home city does not change discovery behavior; what matters is the event's `location_type` and (for in-person) its address --- ## Eventship Pricing > URL: https://eventship.com/pricing > Category: Platform Info Simple, transparent pricing. Billed annually only. Business is bought once per host, however many conferences you run. You can buy it on the pricing page and it starts straight away; a programme larger than the entry price covers is still scoped with us, so talk to us first if that is you. On Pro you build it yourself; on Business we build it with you. That is the difference the plan is sold on. **Everything in Pro, plus:** - A year-round events site on your own domain - Setup, launch support, and annual rollover with a named Eventship contact - Multiple CRM and marketing connections - Unlimited membership tiers - 5 seats, 50,000 marketing sends a month, and 2 sponsor imports you sold yourself at 0% (per standalone event, or shared across a series or Event Hub). Extra seats $600/year ### Event Packs — from $4,000 per event A Pack unlocks conference workflows for one named event, on top of your account plan. Buy as many as you need, one per conference. No subscription is required, so Free, Pro monthly, Pro annual and Business may all buy any number of Packs at any capacity band, and a Pack stays active if the underlying plan lapses. On its own event the Pack sets the fees, taking tickets and add-ons to 0% on any plan; your plan sets your fees on every other event you run. A Pack is not transferable between events, and next year's edition needs a new Pack. **Conference Pack** — priced by attendee capacity: - Up to 500 attendees: $4,000 (25,000 sends) - Up to 1,000 attendees: $6,000 (75,000 sends) - Up to 2,000 attendees: $8,000 (200,000 sends) - More than 2,000: custom Includes a conference site structure on your own domain, program navigation, track and session directories, session pages, speakers and filters, forms and surveys, the conference email package, conference-scoped API/MCP and analytics, AI-powered attendee introductions, and QR check-in. **Expo and Sponsorship** — priced by sponsors and booths, not attendees: Starter (up to 10 sponsors, 10 booths) $2,500, Growth (up to 20, 40) $4,500, Complete (up to 40, 100) $7,000, larger is custom. Sponsorship package inventory and sales, interactive floor plans, booth inventory and assignments, exhibitor staff assignments, sponsor and exhibitor imports at scale, official placements and sponsor profiles, sponsor impact reports, and 0% Eventship fee on direct booth and exhibitor revenue instead of 5%. Attaches to a Conference Pack; it cannot be bought on its own. **Attendee Experience and Onsite** — priced by attendees: $3,000 up to 500, $5,000 up to 1,000, $8,000 up to 2,000. Independent of Expo; either can be bought without the other. Attendee accounts and mobile wallet passes, personalized agendas, dedicated Scanner roles, conference-scale multi-device check-in, and Badge Designer Studio with Zebra printing at conference scale, including distinct attendee, speaker, sponsor and exhibitor badges. **What runs the event day itself:** the Attendee Experience and Onsite upgrade is the tooling that runs it — wallet passes, personalized agendas, dedicated Scanner roles, multi-device check-in and badge printing. The Conference Partner adds a named partner who sets that up with you and direct priority support. Neither commits Eventship staff to be present or on call on the day. **Eventship Conference Partner** — $8,000 per event, for conferences up to 2,000 attendees; above that it is priced with the rest of the Pack. Our team designs, configures, tests and launches the conference, then rolls it forward each year: custom site design and build, annual refresh and prior-edition rollover, first-year migration, registration and agenda setup, badge and check-in configuration, data imports, organizer training, and a named partner with direct priority support. ### Ticket fees **3% per ticket sold on Free and Pro, 0% on Business**, plus Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30). No hidden fees, no surprises. An event with a Conference Pack is 0% on tickets AND on add-ons, whatever the host's plan, including Free. ### Other platform fees These fees are in addition to Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30). Add-ons, exhibitor booths and memberships are the same on every plan; sponsorships are reduced on Pro and Business. - **Add-ons: 5%.** Applied to event add-on purchases (merch, parking, meals, etc.), on every plan. 0% on an event with a Conference Pack - **Cross-promotion: 5%.** A host's ticket sold inside another host's checkout. Ticket rates (3%, or 0% on Business) apply only to a host's own direct sales - **Exhibitor booths: 5%.** Applied to exhibitor booth (table) sales on event floor plans; the buyer pays the booth price flat and the fee comes out of the host's payout. 0% with the Expo and Sponsorship upgrade on a Conference Pack, within the purchased capacity - **Memberships: 10%.** Applied to recurring membership subscription billing, on every plan - **Sponsorships sold through Eventship: 20% on Free, 10% on Pro and Business.** Applied to any sponsorship paid through Eventship. A sponsor you invoice yourself off-platform is not charged. A Conference Pack with the Expo upgrade takes the fee to 0% on the official sponsors you sourced yourself, within the purchased Expo capacity. **A sponsor Eventship sources (from the marketplace, our outreach, or the post-registration flow) always keeps its commission, and no Pack or upgrade waives it** - **Add-ons and memberships are the same rate on every plan.** No plan discounts them, and no plan sets every fee to 0% **Fee precedence on a packed event**, in order: (1) did Eventship source the transaction — if so its commission applies and nothing waives it; (2) event-module overrides — a Conference Pack zeroes direct tickets and add-ons, Expo zeroes self-sourced official sponsors and direct booth sales within capacity; (3) otherwise the underlying Free, Pro or Business rate; (4) Stripe processing is separate on top, always. Buying or upgrading a Pack does not refund fees on transactions already completed. ### Email allowances Marketing sends are allowanced per month: 2,000 on Free, 25,000 on Pro, 50,000 on Business. The Free allowance is metered and enforced; the Pro and Business figures are published allowances that are not metered today. A Conference Pack carries its own pool for its named event. Only marketing mail counts: invitations, broadcasts, save-the-dates and campaigns. Receipts, confirmations, ticket delivery, approvals and security messages are never counted and never blocked. On Free, marketing sends pause once the allowance is reached and resume the next month. ### Pricing FAQ **Is Eventship free?** Yes. The Free plan is $0 forever with unlimited events and unlimited guests. You pay a 3% platform fee when you sell paid tickets, on Free and Pro alike; sponsorships, memberships, add-ons and booths carry their own rates, listed above. **What does Pro add?** Pro includes your own website on your own domain, 25,000 marketing sends a month, badge printing, advanced analytics, enriched data export, API access, the MCP server, one CRM or marketing integration, 10% on sponsorships instead of 20%, and 5 team members with the full role set. The ticket fee stays 3%, the same as Free. **Can I buy Business without talking to sales?** Yes. $3,000 a year, billed annually, and it starts as soon as the payment goes through. If you are already on Pro we move your existing subscription across and credit the time you have paid for, so you are never billed for both. Talk to us first if your programme is larger than the entry price covers, or if you would rather we scoped it with you. **How is Business different from Pro?** On Pro you build it yourself. On Business we build it with you: a year-round site for your whole event program on your own domain, set up alongside your team, with a named contact for launches and the following year's rollover. It also raises the ceilings, at 50,000 marketing sends a month, several CRM connections, and your own sponsor imports. If one person runs your events and you are happy in the builder, Pro is the better deal. **What is an Event Pack?** A Pack unlocks conference workflows for one named event, so you pay for conference tooling only on the events that need it rather than across your whole year. Buy as many as you need, one per event, on any plan including Free. No subscription is required. **What happens if I reach my send allowance?** Receipts, confirmations, ticket delivery and approvals are never counted against the allowance and never blocked, on any plan, so a registration or a check-in is never caught by a billing limit. On Free, marketing sends pause once you reach the allowance and resume the next month. **Can I switch between plans?** Yes. Free and Pro can be changed at any time. Pro renews until you cancel, at the price you signed up on, and cancelling runs the plan to the end of the term you paid for, which is twelve months on the $59/month rate and one month on the $69 one. Business is an annual agreement. **How do payouts work?** Revenue from ticket sales is paid out on a rolling basis via Stripe Connect — you don't have to wait until after the event. --- ## About Eventship > URL: https://eventship.com/about > Category: Platform Info ### What is Eventship? Eventship is the event platform for lean teams. One system covers registration and payments, the published agenda, sponsor and exhibitor inventory, badge printing and check-in, and the attendee record that persists across events and syncs to the tools the team already uses. Hosts organize events, guests attend them, and brands sponsor them. ### Mission Most event software assumes the buyer has an events department. Eventship is built for the opposite case: the person who configures the platform is usually the same person working the registration desk on the day. Everything is meant to be set up without our help and to hold up when the room is full. ### Our story In late 2023, founder Hussein Yahfoufi hosted a startup mixer five minutes from his house in Encinitas, CA. It grew from 10 people in a bar to 150+ with a waitlist. He built an AI matchmaking algorithm so attendees would not walk into a room of strangers, other hosts asked to use it, and that became Eventship. It was called Startup Beach until May 2025. Today it runs events across the US, UK, Europe, and beyond. ### The problem we solve Running an event means a stack: one tool for tickets, another for the agenda, a spreadsheet for booths, something rented for badges, and a CSV export at the end that nobody reconciles. That overhead assumes a team. Eventship puts the whole event in one system so a small group can run all of it, and keeps the attendee record afterward instead of ending at the ticket sale. ### Core capabilities - **All-in-one event management**: Ticketing, QR check-in, registration approvals, multi-day agendas with tracks and speakers - **Conference and expo operations**: Exhibitor floor plans with booth sales, sponsor packages with automated benefits, badge printing on site - **Host websites**: A page builder per host, hosted on Eventship or on the host's own domain, or embedded into an existing site with widgets - **The record leaves the building**: Registrations, check-ins and signups sync to HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Klaviyo or HighLevel, rather than sitting in an export - **AI-powered introductions**: Smart matching algorithm that pairs attendees before events start - **Community tools**: Community hubs, member directories, discussion feeds, direct messaging, membership subscriptions - **Sponsor marketplace**: AI matches events with sponsors based on audience alignment - **Ad network**: Native ads on event pages for brands to reach attendees ### Our values - **One system, not a stack**: Tickets, agenda, booths, badges and check-in belong in one place - **The data is yours**: The attendee record syncs to your CRM and email tools rather than sitting in an export - **No sales call required**: Published pricing, sign up and run a real event without talking to us, no implementation project - **Founder-friendly**: Built by organizers, for organizers ### Contact - Website: https://eventship.com - Support: support@eventship.com - Security: security@eventship.com --- ## Eventship AI & MCP Tools > URL: https://eventship.com/ai > Category: Platform Info AI event management that actually works. Create events, match attendees, and track registrations — all through natural language with MCP-powered AI tools. ### What is MCP? MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools. Eventship implements MCP so AI clients can manage events programmatically via natural language. ### Discovery - MCP server endpoint: https://mcp.eventship.com/mcp - MCP discovery document: https://eventship.com/.well-known/mcp.json - MCP server card: https://eventship.com/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json - User docs: https://eventship.com/help/api-and-integrations/mcp-server - Developer docs: https://developer.eventship.com/mcp ### Available tools (35 total) **Hosts (1 tool)** - list_my_hosts (read) — List the hosts the current user manages (OAuth only). Call first when the user manages multiple hosts; pass a returned `id` as `host_id` on `list_events`, `create_event`, `import_event_from_url`, `search_speakers`, or `list_hubs`. Tools taking an `event_slug` or a `hub_slug` derive the host from that slug and don't need it **Events (5 tools)** - create_event (write) — Create a new event with title, date, location, tickets - import_event_from_url (write) — Bring your own event over from another platform (Eventbrite, Luma, Meetup, Partiful) by creating a draft on Eventship. One-shot scrape of the source URL — does NOT give access to the source event's attendees or real-time data, and is not for looking up someone else's event (use search_events + get_event for that) - update_event (write) — Modify event details - list_events (read) — List all your events - get_event (read) — Get full event details including tickets, sessions, speakers. On hub events, include_community_events=true also returns the approved community-submitted schedule (communityEvents) **Discovery (7 tools)** - recommend_events (read) — Get personalized event recommendations based on your profile, interests, past attendance, and location - search_events (read) — Search public events by keyword, location, category, host (host_slug), or date range. Set include_past=true to surface past events (e.g. "last night"). Renders an interactive event carousel in ChatGPT Apps - search (read) — ChatGPT/MCP-spec text search returning {id, title, url} for citation. Biased toward signed-in user's saved location. Renders an interactive event carousel in ChatGPT Apps (OAuth required) - fetch (read) — ChatGPT/MCP-spec event lookup by slug returning {id, title, text, url, metadata} for citation (OAuth required) - my_events (read) — View events you're registered for, with optional date-range filter (this week, next month, etc.) - register_for_event (write) — Register for a free event. Supports registration questions — if the event has required questions, returns them so you can answer before completing registration - start_paid_checkout (write) — Start a paid checkout for an event. Returns a Stripe-hosted URL the user opens in a browser to complete payment. Once paid, the registration is created automatically (no further action). For free events use register_for_event instead **Hubs (4 tools)** A hub is any event that carries a community agenda: its schedule is built from other hosts' events, which the hub host pulls onto it. Usually a container for a multi-day series such as a startup week, but a plain event whose host switched community events on has an agenda too. - list_hubs (read): List your hubs, with the number of events on each schedule and the number of community submissions awaiting review - get_hub_agenda (read): Get the events currently on a hub's agenda, ordered by start time, with times in the hub's own timezone - add_event_to_hub (write): Put a live event on your hub's agenda. The event may belong to any host; it must be live, public, not unlisted, and not itself a hub. Takes effect immediately and emails the added event's hosts, though that send runs after the change is saved and can fail silently. The hub's own live/public/unlisted state decides whether the hub is LISTED publicly, not whether its agenda can be read: a link-only hub's schedule is readable by anyone holding its link, so adding is visible immediately rather than staged - remove_event_from_hub (write): Take an event off your hub's agenda. The event itself is not changed or cancelled **Tickets (4 tools)** - create_ticket_type (write) — Add ticket types with pricing and capacity. If you create a paid ticket and Stripe isn't connected yet, the tool will let you know and link to your host settings to complete setup - update_ticket_type (write) — Modify ticket details - list_ticket_types (read) — View all ticket types for an event - delete_ticket_type (write) — Remove a ticket type. Refused while people are still registered on it (including anyone awaiting approval or on the waitlist), or when it has paid registrations on record, and temporarily while a checkout is holding it (retry shortly); end its sales instead to stop new signups **Speakers (5 tools)** - search_speakers (read): Search the shared speaker directory by name. Speaker profiles are reusable across events, so search first and reuse a match (pass its id as speaker_id) instead of creating a duplicate - list_event_speakers (read): List an event's speakers. Each entry's id is the appearance id used to update or remove that speaker; createdByMe indicates whether you can edit the canonical name - add_event_speaker (write): Add a speaker by reusing an existing profile via speaker_id or creating a new one via name. Fields fill an empty shared profile, else apply to this event only - update_event_speaker (write): Update a speaker for an event (pass "" to clear a field for this event). The canonical name changes only if you created the profile - remove_event_speaker (write): Remove a speaker from an event; the shared speaker profile itself is never deleted **Questions (5 tools)** - create_question (write) — Add registration questions; supports conditional visibility (Pro) via a condition rule referencing an earlier select/multiselect/checkbox question - update_question (write) — Modify question text or options; set or remove conditional visibility (Pro) - list_questions (read) — View all registration questions - get_registration_insights (read) — AI-summarized aggregate of confirmed attendees' answers (e.g. dietary breakdown, where people are travelling from). Pro feature - delete_question (write) — Remove a question **Attendees (1 tool)** - list_attendees (read) — View attendee list. Always returns name, profile slug, and primary company. Hosts additionally see email, status, ticket type, check-in, and registration date. Confirmed registered attendees see only the public fields when the host has shared the guest list. **Venues (1 tool)** - lookup_venue (read) — Search for event venues by name, city, or neighborhood. Returns upcoming events by default; pass include_past=true to switch to strictly past events at the venue (most recent first). Modes are exclusive — past-history lookups won't be diluted by the venue's upcoming calendar **Messaging (2 tools)** - send_event_broadcast (write) — Email your event's attendees, with optional filtering by registration status and ticket type. Subject is optional — defaults to "📣 {event title} update" if omitted - preview_broadcast_recipient_count (read) — See how many attendees a broadcast would reach with the given filters before sending ### Architecture AI client (Claude, Cursor, VS Code) → MCP protocol (JSON-RPC over SSE) → Eventship API (OAuth 2.1 + PKCE) → Your events ### Authentication - **OAuth 2.1 + PKCE**: Sign in once with your Eventship account. Attendee tools are available to all signed-in users; host management tools require Pro. - **No API keys to manage**: Our MCP server is hosted. Nothing to install, nothing to rotate, nothing to leak. - **Open protocol**: MCP is vendor-neutral. Any compatible client can connect — no vendor lock-in, no custom SDKs ### Compatible clients Works with Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP-compatible AI clients. ### AI-powered introductions Separate from MCP, Eventship uses AI (Google Gemini) to power attendee introductions: - Smart matching based on interests, roles, and goals - Personalized introduction messages sent before events - Power-pair detection: fundraising ↔ investing, hiring ↔ talent --- ## Eventship Integrations > URL: https://eventship.com/integrations > Category: Platform Info Eventship integrations connect event data to the tools hosts already use across CRM, AI, payments, and internal operations. ### Live and available integrations **Salesforce** Sync registrations and check-ins into campaigns, leads, contacts, opportunities, and custom objects. **HubSpot** Push attendees into contacts, lists, workflows, and properties so post-event follow-up can begin as soon as people RSVP or check in. **HighLevel** Sync registrations and check-ins into HighLevel sub-accounts so opportunities, pipelines, tags, and automations fire from event activity. **Mailchimp** Add registrants to a Mailchimp audience and tag them by event (`Registered: ...` and `Attended: ...`) so segments, automations, and post-event campaigns can trigger off Eventship activity. **Klaviyo** Subscribe registrants and newsletter signups to a Klaviyo list, and record `Registered for Event`, `Attended Event`, and `Subscribed to Updates` as metrics so segments and flows can trigger off Eventship activity. **Embeddable newsletter signup widget** Drop an email capture form on your own website. Signups join your Eventship list and flow into whichever email tool or CRM you have connected. **MCP server** Let Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP clients create events, read attendees, and manage tickets through Eventship's hosted MCP server. **Developer API** Use scoped API keys and Eventship's public REST API to list events, manage ticket types, and build custom workflows. **Stripe Connect** Handle payouts, paid tickets, subscriptions, add-ons, refunds, and sponsor purchases through Stripe. **Apple and Google Wallet** Send mobile-ready event passes that attendees can save and bring to check-in. **CSV exports** Move attendee, registration, and analytics data into spreadsheets or internal reporting systems. ### Common automation workflows - Move registrations and check-ins into CRM records for sales, community, and sponsor follow-up - Use OAuth, API keys, and host permissions to scope access to the right data - Sync registration fields, ticket types, check-in status, and custom question answers downstream - Use MCP and REST API access for custom workflows beyond a one-click connector ### Requesting more integrations Hosts can email support@eventship.com to request additional integrations. Common requests include Slack notifications, Zapier workflows, and webhooks. --- ## Eventship Security > URL: https://eventship.com/security > Category: Platform Info Eventship is trusted by event hosts and communities to handle attendee data, payments, and communications. This page outlines the security measures in place to protect your data. ### Infrastructure - Hosted on **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**, which maintains SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and PCI DSS Level 1 certifications - Web traffic routed through **Cloudflare** for DDoS protection, web application firewall (WAF), and CDN services ### Encryption - **In transit**: All data encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Our web app and API send HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which tells your browser to use HTTPS for every request after the first. - **At rest**: Data encrypted using Google Cloud's default encryption (AES-256). ### Authentication - Powered by **Firebase Authentication** with multiple sign-in methods: email magic links, email/password, Google, Apple, LinkedIn, and phone (SMS) - Developer API uses **API key authentication** scoped to individual hosts - MCP server uses **OAuth 2.1 with PKCE** — no API keys to manage, rotate, or leak - **OAuth 2.1 with PKCE** for third-party integrations, preventing token interception attacks ### Access control - Hosts can only access attendee data for events they own — enforced server-side on every request - Co-host permissions are role-based: owner, admin, and member levels - Admin and staff access restricted to authorized personnel - API keys scoped to a single host — cannot access other hosts' data ### Payments - All payment processing handled by **Stripe** (PCI DSS Level 1 certified) - Eventship does not store full credit card numbers, CVVs, or sensitive payment credentials - Only minimum payment references retained (last four digits, expiration date, subscription status) ### AI data handling - AI features powered by **Google Gemini through Vertex AI** - Under Google Cloud's enterprise terms, data sent to Vertex AI is **not used to train Google's foundation models** - AI processing limited to specific tasks — no bulk user data sent to AI services - See Privacy Policy for full details ### Development practices - All code changes go through pull request review - Automated linting, type checking, and end-to-end tests on every change - Secrets and API keys stored in cloud-native secret management — never in source code - Dependencies regularly reviewed and updated ### Incident response - Infrastructure and application monitored for anomalies and potential security events - Affected users and hosts notified within **72 hours** in the event of a data breach (per DPA) - Process: identification → containment → eradication → recovery → post-incident review ### Responsible disclosure Report security vulnerabilities to **security@eventship.com**. We ask for reasonable time to investigate before public disclosure. We will not take legal action against good-faith reporters. --- ## Eventship Advertising > URL: https://eventship.com/advertise > Category: Platform Info Put your brand in front of event attendees. Set up in minutes with AI-generated copy, and track performance with real-time analytics. ### How it works 1. **Enter your URL** — Paste your company website. Your ad starts appearing on event pages immediately. ### Where ads appear - **Event pages**: Displayed alongside event details where attendees browse and register - **Event emails**: Included in event notification emails sent to registered attendees ### Ad format Native cards with your logo, headline, and CTA — clearly labeled as sponsored. No banner blindness — attendees see your brand alongside event content they're already engaged with. ### Analytics Real-time dashboard with: - Total impressions - Clicks (with verified vs. unverified breakdown) - Click-through rate (CTR) - Per-event breakdown of ad performance - Bot and duplicate click filtering Verified clicks are from registered event attendees, giving you higher-quality engagement metrics. ### Pricing Monthly and annual billing options. Everything included: - Native ad on all event pages - AI-generated headline and CTA - Real-time analytics dashboard - Verified click tracking - Edit your ad content anytime - Cancel anytime, no commitment ### Advertising FAQ **What are verified clicks?** Verified clicks come from registered event attendees — real people actively engaged with events. Bot clicks and duplicates are filtered out. **Can I edit my ad after publishing?** Yes. Update your headline, CTA, or URL anytime from your dashboard. **Where will my ad appear?** On event pages across Eventship and in event notification emails sent to registered attendees. --- ## Eventship Ambassador Program > URL: https://eventship.com/ambassador > Category: Platform Info Earn up to $100 for every new host you refer who successfully launches their community on Eventship. Help grow the world of in-person events and get rewarded. ### Bounty amounts - **$100 per qualified host** — Outside San Diego (Expansion Markets) - **$50 per qualified host** — Inside San Diego (Home Base) ### What is a qualified host? The host you refer must create and complete their first event with at least **20 verified attendees**. This ensures payouts go to real, active organizers — not empty signups. This program is for in-person events only. ### Why join? - **You know connectors** — Founders, community builders, local leaders. Your network is your superpower. - **You believe in IRL** — You want to support real-world community, not just online clicks. - **You like getting paid** — Turn warm introductions into real income. No complicated sales process. ### How it works 1. **Apply** — Fill out a quick form, followed by a short intro chat to ensure it's a fit. 2. **Get your unique link** — Receive a personal tracking link to share with potential hosts. 3. **We handle the rest** — Referrals are tracked automatically. When they create an account or Host Profile using your link, you get credit. ### Payouts - Paid monthly via Stripe or PayPal - No payout minimums - No cap on how many hosts you can refer ### Ambassador FAQ **How long does the referral link stay active?** Your link places a 60-day tracking window. As long as the host creates their Host Profile within 60 days of clicking, you get credit. **What if they click someone else's link after mine?** "Last-Click" basis — the most recent ambassador link before hosting gets credit. **When do I get paid?** Payouts are processed monthly after the referred host has completed their first event with 20+ verified attendees. **Do I have to host events myself?** No. Your main role is finding great hosts. **What if someone already has an Eventship account?** That still counts. Many users attend events but never hosted. If they click your link and create their first Host Profile, you earn the commission. **What if they already have a host profile?** That doesn't count. Only net-new hosts qualify. **Can I run paid traffic to my link?** Social ads (Meta, LinkedIn) are allowed. Search ads on Bing/Google (especially branded terms) are prohibited and will result in a ban. **Can I sign up using my own link?** No. Self-referrals are not allowed and commissions will be voided. --- ## Eventship Invoices & Billing > URL: https://eventship.com/help/payments > Category: Payments & Billing Eventship runs on Stripe. Any paid action — event tickets, sponsorship packages, memberships, or Pro plan — generates a Stripe invoice or receipt. Here's where to find them and how to send one yourself. ### Where guests find receipts for paid memberships If you subscribe to a paid host membership (any tier on a host's community), every charge generates a Stripe paid invoice and receipt automatically. - **Where to find them**: Click your profile picture in the top-right to open the account menu, then click **Subscriptions**. On that page, open the **Payments** tab. Every membership receipt you've ever received is listed there, newest first. Direct link: https://eventship.com/my-network - **What each row shows**: Host name, tier, amount, currency, billing period, and payment status. - **Download the receipt**: Click the receipt button next to a paid payment. Stripe opens a hosted page where you can download the receipt PDF for your records. If Stripe only has the invoice PDF available, Eventship links to that instead. - **Scope**: Only paid memberships appear here. Event ticket receipts are emailed separately. Free follows don't generate invoices. - **Cancelled memberships**: Past receipts remain available after cancellation — they stay in the Payments tab for your records. ### Where hosts find invoices for Pro plan Hosts on Eventship Pro can see their plan invoices in their host settings: - Open host settings, then **Billing**. - The **Invoices** section lists every Pro plan charge with amount, date, and a link to the receipt PDF. - Pro plan runs on Eventship's own Stripe account (not a connected account), so these invoices are issued directly by Eventship. ### How hosts send a sponsor an invoice Some sponsors won't pay via self-service card checkout — they need an invoice for their AP team, want net-30 terms, or prefer bank transfer. Eventship lets hosts generate a Stripe invoice and collect payment that way. **Requirements:** - A connected Stripe account on the host profile (same one used for ticket sales). - A sponsorship package already created on the event. - The sponsor's company name (email is optional but recommended). **How to send it:** 1. Open the event and click **Manage**. 2. Under **Sponsors**, click **Send invoice**. 3. Pick the sponsorship package, enter the sponsor's company name and email, and choose a due date (default 30 days). 4. Choose delivery mode: - **Email the invoice directly** — Stripe sends a branded invoice email with a pay-now link. - **Share the link yourself** — you get a hosted invoice URL and PDF to drop into your own email or DM. 5. Click **Create invoice**. The invoice is created on the host's connected Stripe account, so payouts flow to the host like any other ticket or sponsorship sale. The platform fee is taken automatically via Stripe's application fee at the same rate as self-service checkout. **When a sponsor pays:** - The sponsorship purchase is marked confirmed. - The package's sold count increments and inventory is locked in. - The sponsor receives the standard confirmation email. - The sponsor appears in the Sponsors list like any paid sponsor. **Managing sent invoices:** Go to **Manage event > Sponsors > Sponsor invoices**. For each invoice you can: - See the status (open, paid, void, uncollectible), amount, and due date. - Copy the hosted invoice URL or PDF link. - Void an outstanding invoice — this releases the inventory hold so the package goes back on sale. Paid invoices cannot be voided; issue a Stripe refund instead to cancel the sponsorship. ### Billing FAQ **Do I get an invoice for event tickets I buy?** Ticket purchases trigger an emailed receipt. Paid memberships generate Stripe receipts, accessible from My Network > Payments. **Can hosts download invoices for all their event sales?** Hosts can view and export individual transactions from their Stripe Dashboard. Eventship shows sales and payout summaries inside each event's dashboard. **Can I change the billing address on a past invoice?** Billing address is captured from the payment method at time of charge. If you need a corrected address, contact the host (for membership invoices) or support@eventship.com (for Pro plan). **What happens if a sponsor doesn't pay an invoice I sent?** The invoice stays open until it's paid or you void it. Voiding releases the inventory hold. You can resend the hosted invoice URL at any time — it stays live until paid or voided. **Can I set custom payment terms (net-30, net-60)?** Yes. When creating a sponsor invoice, set the due date to any future date. Stripe's invoice email will reflect that due date. **Does voiding an invoice charge any fees?** No. Voiding an unpaid invoice is free and releases the package slot back to the available pool. Only paid invoices incur platform and Stripe processing fees. **What currency are invoices issued in?** Invoices are issued in the currency configured on the host's Stripe account. The sponsor or member pays in that currency; their bank handles FX conversion if needed. --- ## Eventship SMS Notifications > URL: https://eventship.com/sms > Category: Platform Info Eventship offers an optional SMS notification program ("Eventship Alerts") that sends text messages to users who opt in. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. **How to opt in** Users opt in after registering for an event on eventship.com: once registration is complete, an optional text-reminder prompt appears. To opt in, the user enters their mobile phone number, ticks an explicit consent checkbox (unchecked by default — required before a code can be sent), receives a one-time 6-digit verification code by SMS, and enters that code to confirm. The prompt also offers a one-click "Skip" option — declining has no effect on the registration or on access to Eventship, and opting in is never a condition of registering, purchasing a ticket, or using any Eventship service. SMS can also be enabled or disabled at any time under Settings → Notifications. The opt-in consent checkbox reads: "I agree to receive recurring automated event reminders and updates from Eventship by text at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg frequency varies. Msg/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to end, HELP for help." **Message types and frequency** Messages may include event registration confirmations, reminders before events the user is registered for, schedule or location changes, and announcements from event hosts. Frequency varies with the user's registrations and host activity, typically 1–4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. **Opt out and help** Reply STOP to any message to opt out (a confirmation is sent and no further messages are delivered unless re-enabled), or disable SMS in notification settings. Reply HELP, or contact support@eventship.com, for help. SMS is supported on most major U.S. carriers; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. **Privacy** Phone numbers are stored securely and used only to deliver SMS the user opted into. Eventship does not share phone numbers or SMS consent with event hosts, sponsors, affiliates, or other third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information and text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. --- ## Eventship vs Eventbrite (2026) > URL: https://eventship.com/compare/eventbrite-vs-eventship > Category: Comparisons Eventbrite sells tickets well and charges for it: in the US, 3.7% plus $1.79 on every one, with rates that differ by country. Eventship charges 3%, with no fixed fee. The bigger difference is what comes with it. Sponsors, booths and paid memberships are here on every plan, and on Pro your own website, badges at the door and registrations syncing to your CRM, rather than bought separately. Eventbrite is worth the premium if you need its audience directory or reserved seating. For most organizers it is not. ### Who each platform is best for - **Eventship**: Community organizers, meetup hosts, and conference planners who want to build lasting relationships with attendees and keep more revenue. - **Eventbrite**: Large-scale concert promoters and one-off event organizers who need maximum audience reach and don't mind higher fees. ### Pricing comparison | | Eventship | Eventbrite | |---|---|---| | Free plan | Yes (unlimited events & guests) | Yes (free events only) | | Platform fee per paid ticket | 3% | 3.7% + $1.79 in the US; varies by country | | Fixed per-ticket charge | None | $1.79/ticket | | Payment processing | Stripe (2.9% + $0.30) | 2.9% per order | | Payout timing | Rolling (via Stripe Connect) | After the event by default | | Per-event conference add-on | Conference Pack from $4,000 | Not published | | Marketing sends per month | 2,000 Free, 25,000 Pro, 50,000 Business | Not published | Other Eventship fees: 5% on add-ons, exhibitor booths and cross-promotion, 10% on memberships, 20% on sponsorships (10% on Pro and Business). A Conference Pack is bought per event and starts at $4,000; see the pricing page for what it includes and for the current fee schedule. **Fee example: $50 ticket, 500 sold (US rates)** - Eventship: $1.50/ticket platform fee = $750 total - Eventbrite: $3.64/ticket platform fee = $1,820 total - **Savings with Eventship: $1,070** ### Feature comparison | Feature | Eventship | Eventbrite | |---|---|---| | Unlimited events | Yes | Yes | | Multi-day conferences / Event Hubs | Yes | Limited | | Registration approval flow | Yes | No | | Community hubs / member directories | Yes | No | | AI-powered attendee introductions | Yes | No | | Direct messaging between attendees | Yes | No | | Sponsor marketplace | Yes | Not published | | Ad network for event pages | Pro | Not published | | QR code check-in | Yes | Yes | | Apple & Google Wallet passes | Yes | Yes | | Reserved seating | No | Yes | | Badge designer | Yes | Yes | | On-site badge printing | Pro | Yes | | Event website builder | Pro | Yes | | Your own website on your own domain | Pro | Not published | | Tracking pixels (Meta, Google Analytics) | Pro | Yes | | Sponsorship packages sold from the event page | Yes | Not published | | Exhibitor booths sold from a live floor plan | Yes | Not published | | One person record across every event you run | Yes | No | | Relationship history per person (joins, past events, emails, messages, payments) | Pro | No | | Event Intelligence findings on each event | Pro | Not published | | Company engagement insights across your events | Pro | Not published | | Salesforce integration | Pro | Enterprise | | HubSpot integration | Pro, one connection | Via marketplace apps | | Marketing sync (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HighLevel) | Pro, one connection | Via marketplace apps | | Create and manage events from an AI assistant | Yes | Not published | | REST API | Pro | Yes | | MCP server (AI agents) | Pro | No | ### Where hosts hit limits with Eventbrite 1. **High fees**: Eventbrite charges 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket in the US, and rates vary by country. Eventship charges a flat 3% with no fixed per-ticket fee. 2. **Held payouts**: Eventbrite pays out after the event by default. Eventship pays out on a rolling basis via Stripe Connect. 3. **No community tools**: Eventbrite is a ticketing platform. Eventship includes community hubs, AI intros, and messaging. 4. **Cross-promotion**: Eventbrite shows competitor events to your attendees. On Eventship it is off unless you switch it on, one event at a time, and the pairings are set up with us rather than by an open marketplace. 5. **Outdated interface**: Eventship offers a modern, mobile-first experience. 6. **Only the tickets**: the conference site, the badges, the sponsor deck and the CRM import are all rebuilt elsewhere. Eventship runs them off the same guest list. ### Eventbrite FAQ **Is Eventship a good alternative to Eventbrite?** Yes, especially for community-focused organizers. Lower fees (3% against 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket in the US), built-in community tools, AI networking, and a sponsor marketplace. **How much cheaper is Eventship?** On a $50 US ticket, Eventbrite charges $3.64 in platform fees vs Eventship's $1.50. That's 59% less. For 500 tickets, save $1,070. **Can I migrate from Eventbrite to Eventship?** Yes. Paste your Eventbrite URL and the details come over into the event editor: title, date, venue, ticket types. Guest lists move separately. Paste emails to add people without charging again, or ask our team. **What does Eventbrite have that Eventship doesn't?** Reserved seating and a larger built-in audience directory (89M+ ticket buyers). **What does Eventship have that Eventbrite doesn't?** Community hubs, AI attendee introductions, direct messaging, discussion feeds, paid memberships, one person record across every event with its relationship history, save-the-date emails, enriched data export, and an MCP server for AI agents. Eventship also runs a sponsor marketplace and an ad network; we have not checked whether Eventbrite offers either, so those rows read Not published rather than No. **How much cheaper is Eventship than Eventbrite?** On a $50 US ticket, Eventbrite charges $3.64 in platform fees vs Eventship's $1.50. That's 59% less. For 500 tickets, that's $1,070 saved. The $1.79 fixed fee per ticket makes Eventbrite especially expensive for lower-price tickets. **Can I migrate my events from Eventbrite to Eventship?** Yes. Paste your Eventbrite URL and the details come over into the event editor: title, date, venue, and ticket types. Review, then publish. Your guest list moves separately. Paste their email addresses to add them without charging again, or our team can help with a bigger move. **Does Eventship have as many features as Eventbrite?** Eventship covers all core event management needs: ticketing, registration, check-in (including on-site badge printing on Pro), analytics, and communication. Eventbrite has reserved seating that Eventship doesn't offer yet. However, Eventship has community tools, AI intros, paid memberships, and one attendee record that carries across every event you run, none of which Eventbrite offers. **Is Eventbrite or Eventship better for community events?** Eventship is purpose-built for community events. It includes member directories, community hubs, AI-powered attendee introductions, and direct messaging. Eventbrite is primarily a ticketing platform without these community features. **Does Eventship sync registrations into my CRM?** Yes, on Pro. Connect Salesforce, HubSpot, HighLevel, Mailchimp or Klaviyo and a confirmed registration creates or updates the contact, then check-in updates it again as attended. Nothing is exported by hand. Pro carries one connection; Business connects several. **Can I run my event website and badges on Eventship?** Yes. Build the site in the website builder and publish it to your own domain on Pro, and lay the badge out in the badge designer on any plan. Printing to a Zebra, at the door or in bulk beforehand, is Pro. A Conference Pack adds conference site structure for one named event on any plan, and printing at conference scale is the separately priced Onsite layer on top of it. --- ## Eventship vs Luma (2026) > URL: https://eventship.com/compare/luma-vs-eventship > Category: Comparisons Both platforms allow you to launch clean event pages within minutes. The core difference is scope: Luma provides a streamlined, single-event setup optimized for simple hosting and ticketing. Eventship optimizes for getting the most value out of your events and promoting your brand. ### Who each platform is best for - **Eventship**: Community builders running recurring paid events who need the layer past the event page: sponsorship and booth revenue, paid memberships and an attendee record that carries from one event to the next on every plan, and on Pro a site on their own domain, badges printed at the door and CRM sync. - **Luma**: Individuals hosting small, free or invite-only events who value minimal setup and a clean aesthetic. ### Pricing comparison | | Eventship | Luma | |---|---|---| | Free plan | Yes | Yes | | Platform fee per paid ticket | 3% | 5% | | Payment processing | Stripe (2.9% + $0.30) | Stripe (2.9% + $0.30) | | Paid account plans | Pro $59/mo annual; Business from $3,000/yr | Plus $59/mo annual; Enterprise on request | | Per-event conference add-on | Conference Pack from $4,000 | Not supported | | Marketing sends per month | 2,000 Free, 25,000 Pro, 50,000 Business | 500/wk Free, 5,000/wk Plus, more as a paid add-on | Other Eventship fees: 5% on add-ons, exhibitor booths and cross-promotion, 10% on memberships, 20% on sponsorships (10% on Pro and Business). A Conference Pack is bought per event and starts at $4,000; see the pricing page for what it includes and for the current fee schedule. **Fee example: $50 ticket, 200 sold/month** - Eventship: $1.50/ticket = $300/month in platform fees - Luma: $2.50/ticket = $500/month in platform fees - **Monthly savings with Eventship: $200** ### Feature comparison | Feature | Eventship | Luma | |---|---|---| | Unlimited events | Yes | Yes | | Multi-day conferences / Event Hubs | Yes | No | | Scheduled ticket sales | Yes | No | | Event add-ons (merch, extras) | Yes | No | | Community hubs | Yes | Yes | | Member directories | Yes | No | | AI-powered attendee introductions | Yes | No | | Direct messaging between attendees | Yes | Yes | | Membership subscriptions | Paid tiers, monthly or annual | Calendar memberships, monthly or annual | | Sponsor marketplace | Yes | No | | Ad network for event pages | Pro | No | | Dedicated scanner app/role | Scanner role on every plan | Check-in manager on Plus | | Apple & Google Wallet passes | Yes | Yes | | Digital signage mode | Yes | No | | Event website builder | Pro | No | | Your own website on your own domain | Pro | No | | Tracking pixels (Meta, Google Analytics) | Pro | No | | Badge designer | Yes | No | | On-site badge printing (Zebra) | Pro | No | | Sponsorship packages sold from the event page | Yes | No | | Exhibitor booths sold from a live floor plan | Yes | No | | One person record across every event you run | One record across every event | Calendar People list | | Relationship history per person (joins, past events, emails, messages, payments) | Pro | Membership, revenue, registration and check-in history | | Event Intelligence findings on each event | Pro | No | | Company engagement insights across your events | Pro | No | | CRM sync (Salesforce, HubSpot) | Pro | Enterprise | | Marketing sync (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HighLevel) | Pro | No | | Create and manage events from an AI assistant | Yes | No | | REST API | Pro | Plus | | MCP server (AI agents) | Pro, read and write | Free, read-only | ### Where hosts hit limits with Luma 1. **Higher transaction fees on free tiers**: Luma charges a 5% platform fee on paid tickets on its free tier, which scales quickly for recurring events. Eventship lowers this to 3%, on the free plan and on Pro alike. Both platforms offer a $59/month premium tier billed annually: Luma Plus takes its ticket fee to 0%, while Eventship Pro keeps the 3% and puts the money into your own website, badge printing and CRM sync. 2. **Basic community and networking tools**: while Luma offers chat and calendar memberships, it lacks automated tools to facilitate active attendee networking or track community retention. Eventship includes Event Intelligence to track returning guests and AI-driven networking tools that automatically match attendees based on profiles and suggest why they should meet. The introductions are on every plan; Event Intelligence is Pro. 3. **No native sponsor management**: Luma does not include tools for managing sponsors or advertising revenue, forcing organizers to handle sponsorships in external spreadsheets. Eventship features a built-in sponsor marketplace and ad network. Sponsors can discover and fund your events natively within the platform, and revenue is managed on the same page as tickets. Sponsorship packages, booths and the marketplace are on every plan; the ad network is Pro. 4. **Rigid page templates for complex events**: Luma's standardized templates are excellent for quick, single events but lack the flexibility needed for larger conferences or highly customized branding. Eventship supports complex formats with multi-day Event Hubs, embeddable widgets, advanced custom ticket types, and event add-ons. 5. **Fragmented on-site logistics and data sync**: Luma primarily handles pre-event registration, requiring organizers to export data to third-party tools for on-site badging, website building, and, outside its Enterprise tier, CRM syncing. Eventship runs the entire lifecycle off a single guest record. Badge design is included on all plans. The Pro plan ($59/mo billed annually, or $69 month to month) adds custom domain publishing, direct-to-Zebra badge printing at the door, and native data syncs for Salesforce, HubSpot, HighLevel, Mailchimp, and Klaviyo. ### Luma FAQ **Is Eventship a good alternative to Luma?** Yes. Everything Luma does for event creation, plus community management, AI networking, sponsor marketplace, and lower fees (3% vs 5%). **Can I migrate from Luma to Eventship?** Yes. Paste your Luma URL and the details come over into the event editor: title, date, venue, ticket types, agenda. Guest lists move separately. Paste emails to add people without charging again, or ask our team. **How do they compare on pricing?** Eventship: 3% on paid tickets, on Free and Pro alike. Luma free plan: 5% (0% on Plus). Both Pro plans: $59/mo annual. **Does Eventship support free events?** Yes. Unlimited free events with unlimited guests, RSVP management, and QR check-in, all at no cost. **What does Eventship have that Luma doesn't?** While both platforms share core features like memberships, chat, attendee history, and wallet passes, Eventship adds an operational and revenue layer built for complex events. This includes multi-day Event Hubs, native badge design with direct Zebra printing (design on every plan, printing on Pro), digital signage, and the ability to sell sponsorships and exhibitor booths directly from a live floor plan. Eventship also includes AI-driven networking that suggests specific attendee matches, plus a read/write MCP server for AI integrations (compared to Luma's read-only server). However, Luma currently holds a reporting advantage by allowing organizers to export an entire calendar's guest list to a single CSV, whereas Eventship currently exports attendee data strictly on a per-event basis. **Can I put my event website on my own domain?** Yes, on Pro. Build the site in the website builder from page blocks, templates and color schemes, then add the records we give you at your registrar to point your own domain at it. **Does Eventship have an AI assistant?** Yes, on every plan. Ask it to create an event, set up ticket types, edit the details, send a broadcast, find a venue, or pull your registration numbers, and it comes back with a confirmation card you approve before anything is written. **Can I migrate my events from Luma to Eventship?** Yes. Paste your Luma URL and the details come over into the event editor, with the title, date, venue, ticket types, and agenda already filled in. Review, then publish. Your guest list moves separately. Paste their email addresses to add them without charging again, or our team can help with a bigger move. **How do Luma and Eventship compare on pricing?** Eventship's free plan includes unlimited events and guests with a 3% fee on paid tickets. Luma's free plan charges 5% on paid tickets. Eventship Pro is $59/mo (annual), the same as Luma Plus, and the 3% ticket fee is the same on either Eventship plan. **Does Eventship support free events like Luma?** Absolutely. Eventship's free plan supports unlimited free events with unlimited guests, RSVP management, and QR code check-in, all at no cost. --- ## Eventship vs Meetup (2026) > URL: https://eventship.com/compare/meetup-vs-eventship > Category: Comparisons Meetup has a free Starter tier for eligible first-time organizers, but it stops at one group, two events a month and ten attendees each. Organizing past that is $29.99 a month. Eventship is free for organizers at any size, with real ticketing, member directories and AI introductions on the free plan, and your own site on your own domain when you move to Pro. The one thing Meetup has that we do not is its discovery network of 35M+ members. If that is where your group comes from, it may still be worth the subscription. If it is not, you are paying for something you do not use. ### Who each platform is best for - **Eventship**: Community organizers who want a free, modern platform with paid ticketing, networking tools, and a member list that is theirs to work with rather than rented, plus the option, on Pro, to put the community on its own domain and sync it to a CRM as it grows. - **Meetup**: Casual group organizers who rely heavily on Meetup's built-in discovery network and don't need paid ticketing. ### Pricing comparison | | Eventship | Meetup | |---|---|---| | Free to create events | Unlimited | Starter: 2/mo, 10 attendees each | | Organizer subscription | None required | Free Starter tier, then $29.99/mo ($174.99/yr) | | Pro plan | $59/mo (annual) | $55/group/mo | | Paid ticketing | Yes | Limited | | Payment processing | Stripe (2.9% + $0.30) | Stripe fees | | Paid account plans | Pro $59/mo annual; Business from $3,000/yr | Free Starter tier; Standard $29.99/mo; Pro $55/group/mo | | Per-event conference add-on | Conference Pack from $4,000 | Not published | | Marketing sends per month | 2,000 Free, 25,000 Pro, 50,000 Business | Not published | Other Eventship fees: 5% on add-ons, exhibitor booths and cross-promotion, 10% on memberships, 20% on sponsorships (10% on Pro and Business). A Conference Pack is bought per event and starts at $4,000; see the pricing page for what it includes and for the current fee schedule. **Cost example: Running a community for 1 year, past Meetup's free Starter limits** - Eventship: $0 (free plan) or $708/year (Pro, twelve-month term) - Meetup: $174.99/year (Standard) or $564+/year (Pro, per group) - **Eventship's free plan saves you $175+/year with more features** - Inside Starter's limits (one group, two events a month, ten attendees each) Meetup is also $0, and the comparison is features rather than price ### Feature comparison | Feature | Eventship | Meetup | |---|---|---| | Unlimited events | Yes | Depends on plan | | Multi-day conferences / Event Hubs | Yes | No | | Multiple ticket types | Yes | No | | Event add-ons (merch, extras) | Yes | No | | Coupon / discount codes | Yes | Yes | | Community hubs / member directories | Yes | Yes | | AI-powered attendee introductions | Yes | No | | Member data ownership & export | Attendee CSV per event; no member-list export yet | Limited export | | Built-in discovery network | Growing | Large (35M+ members) | | Embeddable event widgets | Yes | No | | Sponsor marketplace | Yes | Not published | | Ad network for event pages | Pro | Not published | | Rolling payouts | Via Stripe Connect | No | | Apple & Google Wallet passes | Yes | No | | Event website builder | Pro | Not published | | Your own website on your own domain | Pro | Not published | | Tracking pixels (Meta, Google Analytics) | Pro | Not published | | Badge designer | Yes | Not published | | On-site badge printing (Zebra) | Pro | Not published | | Sponsorship packages sold from the event page | Yes | Not published | | Exhibitor booths sold from a live floor plan | Yes | Not published | | One person record across every event you run | Yes | Not published | | Relationship history per person (joins, past events, emails, messages, payments) | Pro | Not published | | Event Intelligence findings on each event | Pro | Not published | | Company engagement insights across your events | Pro | Not published | | CRM sync (Salesforce, HubSpot) | Pro, one connection | Not published | | Marketing sync (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HighLevel) | Pro, one connection | Not published | | Create and manage events from an AI assistant | Yes | Not published | | REST API | Pro | GraphQL API on Pro | | MCP server (AI agents) | Pro | No | ### Where hosts hit limits with Meetup 1. **Organizer fees**: Meetup's free Starter tier stops at two events a month and ten attendees each; organizing past it is $29.99/month. Eventship is free at any size. 2. **Cross-promotion**: Meetup promotes other groups to your members. On Eventship it is off unless you switch it on, one event at a time, and the pairings are set up with us rather than by an open marketplace. 3. **Limited ticketing**: Meetup sells tickets, but stops well short of a full checkout. Eventship has full ticketing with multiple types, coupons, add-ons, and Wallet passes. 4. **Limited data export**: Eventship exports any event's attendee list as CSV, enriched on Pro, and the public API reads those attendees per event. Members are readable on the People page, one record per person across every event. A whole-member-list export is not built yet, and the public API does not reach the member list either. 5. **Outdated interface**: Eventship has a modern, mobile-first design with AI features. 6. **The group only exists inside Meetup**: nothing follows a member between events. Eventship keeps one record per person across every event you run on every plan, and Pro adds the community's own site on your own domain, the relationship history on each person, Event Intelligence and CRM sync. ### Meetup FAQ **Is Eventship a good alternative to Meetup?** Yes. Everything Meetup offers (group pages, member directories, events, messaging) plus paid ticketing, AI networking, and sponsor tools. Free for organizers at any size (Meetup's free Starter tier is capped at one group, two events a month and ten attendees each; past that it is $29.99/month). **Can I migrate my Meetup group?** Yes. Create a community hub, then paste your Meetup event URLs to bring events into the editor. Import your member list (if your Meetup plan allows the export), or share your new Eventship link with your group. **Does Eventship have discovery like Meetup?** Eventship has a growing discover feature with city-based and category-based browsing. Meetup has a larger network (35M+), but Eventship's is growing with AI-powered recommendations. **Why are organizers leaving Meetup?** Organizer fees once you outgrow the capped free Starter tier ($29.99/month or $174.99/year), limited customization, outdated interface, poor analytics, ticketing that stops well short of a full checkout, limited data export, and cross-promotion of competing groups. **Is Eventship really free?** Yes. Free plan: unlimited events, unlimited guests, community hubs, AI intros, analytics. Tickets are 3% on Free and Pro alike, plus Stripe processing; sponsorships, memberships, add-ons and booths have their own rates. No organizer subscription and no cap on events or attendees. **Can I migrate my Meetup group to Eventship?** Yes. Create a community hub on Eventship, then bring your events over by pasting their Meetup URLs. Each one opens in the editor with its details filled in, ready to review and publish. For members, export your list from Meetup (if available on your plan) and import it into Eventship, or share your new Eventship community link with your group. **Is Eventship free for organizers?** Yes. Eventship's free plan includes unlimited events, unlimited guests, community hubs, AI intros, the AI assistant, the badge designer, sponsorship packages, exhibitor booths, and registration analytics. Tickets are 3% on Free and Pro alike, plus Stripe processing; sponsorships, memberships, add-ons and booths carry their own rates, on the pricing page. There is no organizer subscription fee and no cap on events or attendees, unlike Meetup, where organizing past the free Starter tier is $29.99/month. **What does Eventship Pro add over the free plan?** Your own community website on your own domain, 25,000 marketing sends a month, on-site badge printing to a Zebra, one CRM or marketing connection (Salesforce, HubSpot, HighLevel, Mailchimp or Klaviyo), Event Intelligence and company engagement insights, tracking pixels, enriched attendee export, API and MCP access, and 10% on sponsorships instead of 20%. $59/mo billed annually, or $69 month to month. The ticket fee is 3% on both plans. --- ## Eventship vs Cvent (2026) > URL: https://eventship.com/compare/cvent-vs-eventship > Category: Comparisons Cvent is built for the largest corporate event programs, and if you need venue sourcing, RFP management or room diagramming, nothing here replaces that. What you pay for it is an annual contract quoted by sales rather than published, and an onboarding project. Eventship covers registration, sponsors, booths and badge design on every plan, with the conference site, door printing and CRM sync on Pro, and you can have the first event live today. If your conferences are mid-size and your team is small, that is the trade worth making. ### Who each platform is best for - **Eventship**: Community organizers, meetup hosts, and conference planners who want a modern, affordable platform with built-in networking, community tools, and fast setup. - **Cvent**: Large enterprises running high-volume corporate conferences, trade shows, and association meetings with dedicated event staff. ### Pricing comparison | | Eventship | Cvent | |---|---|---| | Free plan available | Yes | No | | Public pricing | Yes | No | | Month-to-month billing | Yes | No (annual contracts) | | Per-registrant fees | 3% | Custom (usage-based) | | Annual price increases | None | Not published | | Typical annual cost | $0 (free) or $708/year (Pro, twelve-month term) | Quoted per customer, not published | | Paid account plans | Pro $59/mo annual; Business from $3,000/yr | Custom contract, no public pricing | | Per-event conference add-on | Conference Pack from $4,000 | Per-registrant fees inside an annual contract | | Marketing sends per month | 2,000 Free, 25,000 Pro, 50,000 Business | Not published | Other Eventship fees: 5% on add-ons, exhibitor booths and cross-promotion, 10% on memberships, 20% on sponsorships (10% on Pro and Business). A Conference Pack is bought per event and starts at $4,000; see the pricing page for what it includes and for the current fee schedule. **Cost example: Mid-size organizer** - Eventship: Free plan with unlimited events, or Pro at $59/mo on a twelve-month term ($708/year) - Cvent: an annual contract quoted through sales, priced against the modules you license and the registrations you run - **Eventship publishes its number; Cvent quotes yours, so neither of us can put a percentage on the gap here** ### Feature comparison | Feature | Eventship | Cvent | |---|---|---| | Time to first event | Minutes | After a sales and onboarding engagement | | Training required | None | Cvent Academy training and certification offered | | Community hubs / member directories | Year-round community | Attendee Hub, per event | | AI-powered attendee introductions | Yes | Not published | | Direct messaging between attendees | Yes | Yes | | Membership subscriptions | Yes | No | | Sponsor marketplace | Yes | Not published | | Ad network for event pages | Pro | Not published | | Apple & Google Wallet passes | Yes | Limited | | MCP server (AI agents) | Pro | No | | Venue sourcing / RFP tools | No | Yes | | Venue diagramming / room layouts | No | Yes | | Virtual event platform | No | Yes | | On-site badge printing | Pro | Yes | | Salesforce integration | Pro | Yes | | HubSpot integration | Yes (Pro) | Yes | | HighLevel integration | Pro, one connection | Not published | | Event website builder | Pro | Yes | | Your own website on your own domain | Pro | Yes | | Time to publish a branded event site | Self-service, live on an Eventship subdomain at once | Project with your Cvent team | | Tracking pixels (Meta, Google Analytics) | Pro | Not published | | Badge designer | Yes | Yes | | Sponsorship packages sold from the event page | Yes | Not published | | Exhibitor booths sold from a live floor plan | Yes | Not published | | One person record across every event you run | Yes | Yes | | Relationship history per person (joins, past events, emails, messages, payments) | Pro | Yes | | Event Intelligence findings on each event | Pro | Not published | | Company engagement insights across your events | Pro | Not published | | Create and manage events from an AI assistant | Yes | Not published | | ROI measurement dashboards | No | Yes | ### Where hosts hit limits with Cvent 1. **Our Cvent contract costs more than the ten events a year we run can justify**: Eventship is free to start, and Pro is $59/mo on a twelve-month term ($708/year), published rather than quoted. 2. **3 months to get fully onboarded**: Eventship is intuitive from day one. Create your first event in under 2 minutes. No training required. 3. **UI feels like it hasn't been updated in a decade**: Modern, mobile-first interface built for speed. 4. **Locked into an auto-renewing contract with annual increases**: Free commits you to nothing, and Pro is $69 month to month or $59/mo on a twelve-month term, cancellable to the end of whichever you chose; both terms renew until you cancel, at the price you signed up on. Business is annual, like Cvent, but priced on the page at $3,000/year. 5. **Integrations feel like different platforms bolted together**: Single, cohesive platform. No acquired products stitched together. 6. **The Attendee Hub goes quiet when the event ends**: Eventship's community hub is year-round, with one member directory, discussion feeds, messaging and AI introductions carrying between events. 7. **Every piece is a separate module on the quote**: one published price covers the website builder, badge designer and Zebra printing, sponsorship packages, exhibitor booths on a live floor plan, paid memberships, and CRM sync on Pro. ### Cvent FAQ **Is Eventship a good alternative to Cvent?** Yes, especially for community-focused organizers, mid-size conferences, and teams that don't need enterprise-scale complexity. Cvent is better suited for large corporate event programs with dedicated event staff, especially where venue sourcing and room diagramming matter. **How much cheaper is Eventship than Cvent?** Free plan: unlimited events, 3% on paid tickets. Pro: $59/mo billed annually, and the ticket fee stays 3%; Business from $3,000/year, which takes it to 0%. Cvent does not publish pricing: it is quoted per customer against the modules you license and the registrations you run, so we cannot honestly put a number on the gap. **Can I migrate from Cvent to Eventship?** Yes. Recreate events in minutes. Support team can help import attendee lists. Your team won't need months of retraining. **What does Cvent have that Eventship doesn't?** Venue sourcing (300,000+ venues), venue diagramming and room layouts, virtual event hosting, deep CRM integrations beyond Salesforce and HubSpot (e.g. Marketo), and enterprise-grade ROI analytics. These matter for large corporate programs but are overkill for most organizers. Eventship does have an exhibitor floor plan that hosts design and sell booths from; what it lacks is Cvent-style venue diagramming for seating and room sets. **What does Eventship have that Cvent doesn't?** A year-round community hub with one member directory across every event you run, rather than a per-event Attendee Hub; AI-powered attendee introductions; paid membership subscriptions billed on Stripe; community broadcasts, rolling payouts as tickets sell, an AI assistant that creates and runs events on every plan, an MCP server that opens events, tickets, questions, attendees and hubs to the AI assistant you already use, a Free plan and a Pro plan at $69 month to month, or $59/mo on a twelve-month term, and published pricing with a free tier. Business is annual and contracted, like Cvent, but it starts at a published $3,000/year rather than a quote. Eventship also runs a sponsor marketplace and an ad network that pays the host; we have not checked whether Cvent offers either, so those rows read Not published rather than No. **How quickly can I get a branded event site live on Eventship?** Without a services engagement, and live on your Eventship subdomain as soon as you publish. Build it in the website builder from page blocks and templates, then add the records we give you at your registrar to point your own domain at it. Your own domain goes live once those records propagate, which is up to 48 hours and in your registrar's hands rather than ours; the certificate issues and auto-renews on our side once they resolve. That is Pro, at $59/mo billed annually. Business adds a year-round site for your whole program that we set up with you and roll forward each year, and a Conference Pack adds conference site structure for one named event. **Does Eventship have AI features?** Yes, and none of them are a separate module. An AI assistant on every plan creates events, configures tickets, edits details, sends broadcasts and pulls your numbers, always through a confirmation card you approve first. AI introductions pick two people each guest should meet before doors open and say why. On Pro, Event Intelligence reads each event for who is returning and which companies keep showing up, and company engagement insights rank those companies across your whole program. **Is Cvent worth the price?** If you run dozens of large conferences and need venue sourcing, room diagramming, deep CRM integration and enterprise compliance, Cvent does things nothing here replaces. If you do not, you are licensing and learning a lot of product you will not open. Eventship covers registration, sponsors, booths, badge design and analytics on every plan, with the site, printing, richer analytics and CRM sync on Pro, all at a published price, and adds a year-round community that Cvent's per-event Attendee Hub is not built to be. **How long does setup take?** Eventship: under 5 minutes, no sales call, no training. Cvent: a sales engagement, then an implementation, with training and certification through Cvent Academy. Cvent does not publish how long that takes. **How long does it take to set up Eventship vs Cvent?** Eventship: create an account and publish your first event in under 5 minutes, with no sales call and no training. Cvent: you start with a sales engagement, then an implementation, and Cvent runs a training and certification program through Cvent Academy for the people who will operate it. How long that takes depends on the modules you license, and Cvent does not publish a figure. --- ## Eventship vs Whova (2026) > URL: https://eventship.com/compare/whova-vs-eventship > Category: Comparisons Whova and Eventship are built for different jobs. Whova's job is the conference itself. It has the deeper conference app, and on live polling, virtual and hybrid delivery, abstract review and exhibitor lead retrieval it is ahead of us. If that app is the deliverable you are buying, buy Whova, and budget for a quote you cannot see until you ask for one. Eventship's job is the program around the event: published pricing you can model up to our largest listed sizes, a site on your own domain on Pro, direct revenue from tickets, sponsorships, booths and memberships, and one attendee record that outlives the event. If a small team has to run the whole thing and everything it leaves behind, that is us. ### Who each platform is best for - **Eventship**: Lean teams running in-person conferences, expos and recurring event programs who want published pricing, direct revenue from tickets, sponsors, booths and memberships, and one attendee record that carries across every event. - **Whova**: Conferences where the attendee app is itself a deliverable: hybrid or virtual programs, formal abstract review, live in-session engagement, and exhibitors who expect lead retrieval. ### Pricing comparison | | Eventship | Whova | |---|---|---| | Public platform pricing | Yes | No | | Sign up without a sales call | Yes | No | | Free plan for organizers | $0, unlimited events | No | | Platform fee per paid ticket | 3% (0% on Business) | 3% + $0.99 (published US example) | | Fixed per-ticket charge | None | $0.99 | | Paid account plans | Pro $59/mo annual ($69 monthly); Business from $3,000/yr | Quote, scaled to event size and features | | Per-event add-on | Conference Pack from $4,000, bought per conference on any plan including Free | Not offered separately | | Payment processing | Stripe (2.9% + $0.30) | Stripe (varies by country) | Other Eventship fees: 5% on add-ons, exhibitor booths and cross-promotion, 10% on memberships, 20% on sponsorships (10% on Pro and Business). A Conference Pack is bought per event and starts at $4,000; see the pricing page for what it includes and for the current fee schedule. **Ticketing example: 500 tickets at $100** - Whova: $1,995 in registration fees, plus its unpublished platform quote - Eventship Free: $1,500 - Eventship Pro: $1,500, the same 3%, on a $708/year twelve-month plan - Eventship Business: $0 in ticket fees, from $3,000/year A full total-cost comparison still needs a live Whova quote, because Whova does not publish a platform price. ### Feature comparison | Feature | Eventship | Whova | |---|---|---| | Public platform pricing | Yes | No | | Unlimited events & guests | Every account plan; only a per-event Conference Pack is sized by attendee capacity | Licensed per event, scaled by attendees | | Native iOS & Android apps | Yes | Yes | | Live polls & in-session Q&A | No | Yes | | Gamification & leaderboards | No | Yes | | Virtual & hybrid event delivery | No | Yes | | Abstract review: reviewers, scoring & decisions | No | Yes | | Exhibitor lead retrieval (badge scanning) | No | Yes | | Digital booths & appointment scheduling | No | Yes | | Self-service check-in kiosk | No | Yes | | Session-level check-in & CE tracking | No | Yes | | SOC 2 Type II | No | Yes | | White-label attendee app | No | No | | Website on your own domain | Pro | Branded URL on Whova | | Branded conference site on your own domain | Conference Pack | No | | Sponsor packages sold from the event page | Checkout on the event page | Sponsor registration with payment | | Booth purchase from a live floor plan | Live floor plan | Booth selection | | Sponsor marketplace & ad network | Yes | No | | Paid recurring memberships | Billed on Stripe, monthly or annual | Member-only tickets via AMS | | Relationship history across events | Pro | Cross-event reporting | | Attendee matchmaking | Two AI intros per guest, with the reason | Profile-based recommendations | | MCP server for AI assistants | Pro (35 tools) | No | | CRM sync (Salesforce, HubSpot) | Pro | HubSpot & AMS | | Rolling payouts as tickets sell | Stripe Connect | Stripe early payout, 39 countries | ### Where each platform wins **Whova wins inside the conference.** The app combines personalized agendas, community boards, messages, live polls, session feedback, gamification and virtual participation. Its exhibitor package adds lead scanning, digital booths, appointments, passport contests and sponsor ROI reports. Its abstract management runs a full call for speakers with reviewers, scoring rubrics, blind review, decisions and automatic agenda population, which suits academic conferences and associations with formal content committees. It also maintains SOC 2 Type II, which some procurement processes require. **Eventship wins around the program.** Registration, speakers, sponsors, booth sales, memberships, check-in, badge design and communications run in one system a small team can operate without an implementation project, with the event website on your own domain, door printing and CRM sync on Pro. Pricing is published up to the largest listed sizes, so most events can be costed without a sales conversation. And the record persists: one contact spans years of events on every plan, and on Pro it opens up as a history holding when someone joined, every past event of yours they registered for, the emails and messages between you and what they have paid, with the subscribe, confirmed-registration and check-in half of it syncing to HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Klaviyo and HighLevel. ### Whova FAQ **Is Eventship a good alternative to Whova?** For in-person conferences, recurring event programs and lean teams, yes. Whova remains stronger for a deeply featured conference app, virtual or hybrid delivery, live in-session engagement, formal abstract review, or exhibitor lead retrieval. **Which platform has the better mobile event app?** Whova. Eventship has native iOS, iPad and Android apps covering discovery, tickets, profiles, AI introductions, messaging, check-in and Zebra badge printing on Pro, but does not match Whova on in-session engagement. **Is Eventship cheaper than Whova?** On ticketing, yes. Whova's published US example is 3% + $0.99 per paid ticket, versus 3% on Eventship Free and Pro, and 0% on Business. Whova's platform fee itself is not published, so the total needs a quote. **Which platform is better for virtual or hybrid events?** Whova. Eventship is built around in-person events and does not host virtual sessions. **Which platform is better for sponsors and exhibitors?** Whova for in-event exposure and lead retrieval. Eventship for selling the inventory: sponsorship checkout from the event page, booths bought from a live floor plan, benefits applied automatically, and a sponsor network. Eventship has no exhibitor lead retrieval. **Which platform is better for memberships?** Eventship. It bills paid recurring memberships directly, with benefits, directories and community discussion between events. Whova supports member-only tickets and AMS integration. **Does Whova offer a white-label app?** No. Whova states its app is not white-label, though the event page can be branded. Eventship uses the Eventship app too; its brand advantage is on the web, with event and conference sites on your own domain on Pro and your own branding, and a Conference Pack adding the conference site structure on any plan. Eventship keeps a small Powered by mark in the footer. **Which platform has stronger security credentials?** Whova, on published compliance: it maintains SOC 2 Type II. Eventship runs on Google Cloud with Cloudflare WAF and DDoS protection, TLS 1.2+, AES-256 at rest, Firebase authentication and Stripe-managed payments, but holds no SOC 2 report of its own. **Which platform is better for recurring events and memberships?** Eventship, on memberships specifically. Whova supports member-only tickets and integrates with association management systems, but its public materials do not describe a native recurring membership product. On recurring events the gap is narrower than it looks: Whova can target attendees from past events in a campaign. The difference is where the history ends up, which for Eventship is your CRM. **Which platform is better for attendee networking?** Both match attendees, but the intent differs. Whova gives attendees the tools to find people themselves: recommendations, community boards, direct messages and meetups inside the app. Eventship makes the first move, picking two people each guest should meet before doors open and explaining why. Whova helps attendees explore the room. Eventship helps the right people find each other before they walk into it. **Can I migrate from Whova to Eventship?** Yes. You can rebuild an event on Eventship in minutes, and our team can help move your attendee lists. The Conference Partner Pack also includes a first-year migration where the Eventship team works alongside yours to move the conference and its website across.
