Fix Your Day Workshop: Brain Science X Writing
Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 4:00 PM PDT – 5:00 PM PDT
Virtual event
Hosted by JournalingFix

JournalingFix uses short (3-7 minutes), structured writing to help your brain reset, refocus, and follow through when the day starts to feel off track - how you decide, what gets your attention, and what actually carries over from one part of the day to the next. Writing creates a pause between what's happening and what you do next. It externalizes what you're holding in your head, turns automatic reactions into observable patterns, and uses language to organize attention around a goal or next action. That gives you more room to notice, evaluate, and redirect, instead of feeling like you're careening through your days. We’ll look at common friction points inside busy days - like task avoidance, rapid context‑switching, reactive loops, scattered attention - and what your brain is doing in each of those states. Then we’ll run a set of 3–6 minute protocols designed to quickly move out of each pattern. Because when you can’t start a task, you’ve switched contexts a dozen times, or the same thought keeps circling without resolution, your attention is getting pulled into a predictable pattern. These patterns are often a response to a specific kind of friction, like uncertainty, competing demands, unfinished decisions, or the effort of shifting gears. Once you can see which pattern you’re in, you can use the right small intervention to interrupt it in minutes instead of losing hours. You’ll leave with a set of quick writing protocols, plus enough science to recognize, “Oh, here's the pattern again,” the next time a spiral or slowdown starts - and then interrupt it before it costs you more time.
