Creator Economy Panel: From Craft to Company
Sunday, September 20, 2026, 4:00 PM PDT – 5:00 PM PDT
401 B St, San Diego, CA 92101, USA
Hosted by Design Forward Alliance

What happens when your creative career starts becoming a company? This candid panel explores the evolution from independent creator to creative business owner, and what it really takes to build something sustainable around your creativity. Panelists will share their experiences navigating the shift from doing everything themselves to building teams, delegating creative work, developing systems, managing client relationships, and learning how to lead without losing the creative spark that started it all. The conversation will also get into the parts of the creator economy that rarely make it onto social media: money, identity, burnout, collaboration, relationships, leadership, and the inner work required to grow. Designed for creators, filmmakers, designers, photographers, marketers, founders, and anyone building a business around their creative work.
