Eventship, Inc. ("Eventship", "us", "we", or "our") operates eventship.com (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of the Service.
We use your Personal Information to provide, improve, and personalize the Service, including event recommendations, networking features, sponsorship displays and platform analytics. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information (also referred to as "Personal Information") may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, company affiliation, interests, and location data ("Personal Information").
When you register for an event, the event host will have access to your name, email address, profile information, and registration status for that event.
We process your Personal Information based on your consent, our legitimate interest in providing the Service, and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations.
When you purchase a ticket or subscribe to a host membership, our third-party payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment information. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We store only the necessary references (such as the last four digits, expiration date, and subscription status) to manage your transactions and recurring billing.
We may collect and use your IP address to infer your approximate location. This data is used to:
Users can send messages to each other through the Service. Messages sent between users are stored on our servers to facilitate communication and improve user experience. We do not actively monitor or read these messages but may access them if required for legal compliance, to investigate abuse, or to improve security.
If you choose to provide and verify your phone number, we may send you SMS (text) messages related to events you are registered for or hosts you follow. These messages may include event reminders, schedule or location changes, and announcements from event hosts.
Your phone number is stored securely and is only used to deliver SMS notifications that you have opted in to. We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with event hosts, sponsors, affiliates, or other third parties for marketing purposes.
SMS Messaging and Mobile Data. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message or by disabling SMS toggles in your notification settings. For more details on our SMS program, see the "SMS / Text Messages" section of our Terms of Use.

Eventship partners with select brands ("Digital Sponsors") to display promotional content on event pages, confirmation emails, and other digital areas of the platform.
When you visit a page where Digital Sponsors are active, we may track anonymous engagement metrics such as ad impressions and verified ad clicks. Clicks are verified using technical and manual methods to remove duplicates, bot traffic, and clicks from event hosts.
Hosts can choose whether to enable Digital Sponsors for their events and may block specific campaigns they do not wish to display. When Digital Sponsors are active, revenue may be shared with the host of the event, depending on verified engagement and payout timing policies. After 60 days following an event, revenue from any ongoing sponsor campaigns is retained solely by Eventship.
Tracking does not include your name, email, or other directly identifying information. Ad targeting is based on general behavior or location and is not linked to your personal profile.
You can opt out of Digital Sponsor tracking by adjusting your browser settings or by contacting us at support[at]eventship.com.
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on certain pages of our platform to measure ad performance, track conversions (such as event registrations), and optimize our advertising on Meta services. This tool allows Meta to collect data such as your IP address, browser information, page visits, and actions taken on our site. The data collected may be associated with your Facebook account and used in accordance with Meta's Data Policy. You can control how your data is used for advertising by adjusting your settings at Meta Ad Preferences or through browser-based tools such as cookie blockers.
Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

Local Storage: We use local storage to persist data such as your referral source (e.g., if you clicked an Ambassador link). This allows us to attribute your signup to the correct partner even if you navigate away and return later.

We use "cookies" to collect information and improve our Service. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. We use essential cookies to authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts. For example, we use cookies to keep you logged in as you navigate between different event pages and your membership dashboard.
We share limited personal data with third-party service providers ("sub-processors") who help us deliver the Service (e.g., email providers, payment processors, AI services). These providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only for the purposes specified.

Notwithstanding the above, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We use artificial intelligence services, including Google Gemini (Vertex AI), to power certain features of the Service. These features include event categorization, attendee introduction matching, ad content suggestions, city descriptions, and image generation.
User-submitted content — such as event descriptions, profile information, and registration answers — may be sent to Google's AI services for processing in order to provide these features. AI outputs are used solely to enhance the Service and are not sold to third parties.
We do not use AI to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users. AI-generated content (such as suggested introductions or event descriptions) is always subject to review by the relevant host or user before publication.

Event hosts can access attendee data — including names, email addresses, registration status, and check-in data — through our developer API and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. This data access is scoped: hosts can only view attendees for events they own.
When hosts use third-party AI tools (such as Claude or ChatGPT) via our MCP server, attendee data may be transmitted to those third-party services as part of the host's workflow. Hosts are responsible for their own compliance with applicable data protection laws when accessing attendee data through these channels.

To improve your experience, we may automatically enrich your profile using publicly available information:
If you visit Eventship via a referral link (e.g., from an Eventship Ambassador), we store information associating your visit with that referring partner.
We use this data to credit the Ambassador for your signup and subsequent hosting activity. We may share limited status information with the referring Ambassador (e.g., confirming that a referred user has successfully created a host profile or completed an event) for the purpose of calculating commissions. We do not share your personal contact details or private messages with the referring Ambassador.
When you "Follow" a host or subscribe to a paid Membership tier, you are joining that Host's community. By doing so, you consent to share your profile information (Name, Email, Job Title, Company) with that specific Host. Hosts use this information to manage their community, verify membership status for events, and communicate with you directly.
When you post an event or an ask on Eventship, you acknowledge that this information may be displayed publicly, including:
Our Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
All personal data transmitted between your browser and our platform is encrypted using HTTPS.
We retain your personal data to provide a consistent and quality service. For paid transactions (tickets and memberships), we retain transaction history for a minimum of 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws. We may retain limited payment or transaction records for compliance with legal and tax reporting obligations, even after a deletion request.
