Terms of Use

Last Updated: April 8, 2026

Eventship, Inc. ("Eventship", "us", "we", or "our") operates the event and networking service provided at https://eventship.com (the "Service"). Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms", "Terms of Use") carefully before using our Service.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

Our Role in Events

Events listed on our platform are organized by users, not us. We provide the technology for managing events and networking but are not responsible or liable for:

  • Event cancellations by the host;
  • The content or activities related to the event;
  • The accuracy of the event information provided by the host, including time and connection details;
  • Misrepresentation or misconduct by the event hosts or attendees.
  • Payments and financial transactions between hosts and attendees.

If you have an issue or question regarding any of the above, you should contact the event host directly. Hosts have full control over their events, and it is their responsibility to inform you of any relevant terms or policies that apply to your use of the Service outside of these Terms, as well as to respond to and resolve any disputes that you may have regarding their events.

User Profiles

Our Service provides a platform for in-person and virtual events, making the accuracy and completeness of user profiles crucial for event management and attendee networking.

Profile Completion: Users are encouraged to provide complete and accurate information in their profiles. In instances where profiles are incomplete, we reserve the right to fill in missing details using publicly available information or previous data submitted by users.

Accuracy of Information: Users must ensure that the information provided in their profiles is current and accurate.

Consent to Profile Completion: By using our Service, you consent to us completing your profile where necessary.

Data Privacy: All information added to user profiles will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed or anonymized in accordance with our Privacy Policy, but content or events you created may continue to exist on the platform in a non-attributable form.

Messaging

Our Service allows users to message each other. Messages sent between users are stored on our servers to facilitate communication. We do not actively monitor or read messages but may access them for legal compliance, abuse investigations, or security purposes.

SMS / Text Messages

Eventship offers an optional SMS notification program ("Eventship Alerts") that sends text messages to users who opt in. By verifying your phone number and enabling SMS notifications on Eventship, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Eventship at the phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message types and frequency

Messages may include:

  • Event registration confirmations
  • Reminders before events you are registered for
  • Schedule or location changes for upcoming events
  • Announcements and updates from event hosts

Message frequency varies based on your event registrations and host activity, typically 1–4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.

Opt out and help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Eventship text message. You will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent unless you re-enable notifications. You can also disable SMS notifications in your notification settings.

For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at [email protected].

Supported carriers

SMS messages are supported on most major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

For more information about how we handle your phone number, see our Privacy Policy.

Content

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post on the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

By posting Content on the Service, you grant us the right and license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content on and through the Service. You retain any and all of your rights to any Content you submit, post or display on or through the Service and you are responsible for protecting those rights.

Developer API and External Access

Eventship provides a developer API and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that allows hosts to programmatically access and manage their events, attendees, ticket types, and registration data. API access requires authentication via API keys issued to each host.

Acceptable use

  • Managing events and event settings
  • Viewing and exporting attendee data for your own events
  • Communicating with attendees about your events
  • Analytics and reporting on your event performance
  • Integrating with third-party tools (e.g., AI assistants, CRMs) for event management purposes

Prohibited use

  • Selling, renting, or otherwise distributing attendee data to third parties
  • Using attendee data for unsolicited marketing unrelated to your events
  • Scraping or bulk-downloading data beyond what is necessary for event management
  • Unauthorized profiling or surveillance of attendees
  • Attempting to access data for events you do not own

Hosts are solely responsible for their use of data obtained through the API or MCP, including compliance with all applicable data protection and privacy laws. When using third-party AI tools via our MCP server, hosts acknowledge that attendee data may be transmitted to those third-party services and accept responsibility for ensuring appropriate data handling.

We reserve the right to revoke API access at any time for misuse, excessive usage, or violation of these Terms. See our Data Processing Agreement for details on data processing obligations.

AI-Powered Features

Certain features of the Service use artificial intelligence (powered by Google Gemini) to assist with event management. These include:

  • Automatic event categorization based on event descriptions
  • Attendee introduction matching based on profile information and registration answers
  • Content suggestions for event descriptions, sponsorship goals, and ad copy
  • City and location description generation
  • Image generation for events and locations

Content you submit to the Service — including event descriptions, profile information, and registration answers — may be processed by AI to provide these features. AI-generated content is provided as-is, and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or suitability. Hosts should review all AI-generated content before publishing or sharing it.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to your content being processed by AI services as described in our Privacy Policy.

Digital Sponsors

Eventship enables brands to promote their offerings through Digital Sponsorships, which are displayed on event pages, emails, and other digital surfaces across the platform.

By enabling Digital Sponsors for an event, the primary event host authorizes Eventship to show sponsored content within that event's digital footprint. Hosts can:

  • Turn Digital Sponsors on or off for any event.
  • Block specific campaigns if they prefer not to feature certain brands.

Sponsor Campaigns

Each sponsor campaign includes a budget, end date, and multiple ad creatives.

Ads are randomly rotated across eligible event pages where Digital Sponsors are enabled.

Campaign ads are not displayed on events where:

  • The host has disabled Digital Sponsors.
  • The campaign has been explicitly blocked by the host.
  • The campaign has reached its budget or end date.

Self-Created Sponsorship Packages

Hosts may independently create sponsorship packages for their events using Eventship's self-service tools. Hosts are fully responsible for:

  • Accurately describing sponsorship offerings.
  • Delivering all promised benefits to sponsors.
  • Managing any refunds, disputes, or claims from sponsors related to undelivered benefits.

Eventship is not a party to these sponsorship transactions and assumes no liability for failed fulfillment, misrepresentations, or non-performance by event hosts.

Click Validation and Payments

Eventship tracks clicks and automatically verifies them by filtering out:

  • Duplicate clicks
  • Clicks from event hosts

We also manually review clicks to identify and remove suspected bot activity. We reserve the right to manually un-verify clicks that fail our validation checks.

Payment Terms for Hosts

Hosts with Digital Sponsors enabled may receive monthly payments based on the number of verified clicks across all their events during that month.

Payments are made to the primary event host via a Stripe Express Connect account or PayPal.

If a host does not provide valid payment information within 90 days of becoming eligible for a payout, the associated funds may be considered forfeited. We will make reasonable efforts to contact the host via email. After 90 days, Eventship reserves the right to:

  • Treat the funds as unclaimed and reallocate them,
  • Apply them as credit toward future hosting activity, or
  • Donate them to a community-aligned cause.

Hosts are eligible to receive payments for verified clicks for up to 60 days after their event ends. After this period, all campaign revenue reverts to Eventship.

If the final click of a campaign exceeds the budget, we adjust the Gross and Net Pay-Per-Click (PPC) rate to ensure that the sponsor is not charged beyond their committed budget.

Eventship Revenue

Eventship continues to receive revenue for all verified clicks, across all events, for as long as a sponsor campaign has remaining budget and is not blocked.

Additional Conditions

  • Payments may be delayed or withheld in cases of suspected fraud or violation of platform policies.
  • Eventship reserves the right to modify or end any Digital Sponsorship campaign at its discretion to maintain fairness, accuracy, and platform quality.

Sponsorship Marketplace

Eventship enables hosts to offer event sponsorship opportunities, either independently or through our Sponsorship Marketplace. Hosts may sell placements such as logos, shoutouts, or content sections to external sponsors.

Host Responsibility

Hosts are solely responsible for delivering on sponsorship promises made directly to sponsors. Eventship is not liable for any failed fulfillment between hosts and sponsors acquired outside of our platform.

Host Memberships & Community Subscriptions

Eventship allows hosts to offer paid membership tiers ("Memberships") to users. By purchasing a Membership, you understand that:

Direct Relationship: The Membership contract is directly between the Subscriber (User) and the Host. Eventship provides the infrastructure but is not a party to the agreement.

Perks & Delivery: The Host is solely responsible for fulfilling any benefits, content, or access levels promised in their Membership tiers. Eventship does not guarantee that a Host will continue to create content or host events.

Changes to Benefits: Hosts reserve the right to modify their membership tiers or benefits at any time.

Termination: If a Host is removed from Eventship for violating our terms, all active subscriptions to that Host will be canceled automatically. Eventship is not liable for any loss of access or content resulting from such termination.

Marketplace Terms

For sponsorships booked through the Eventship Marketplace:

  • A platform commission may apply (see our Pricing Page)
  • Eventship may assist with sponsor-creator coordination
  • Disputes or failed delivery may result in removal from the marketplace

Complaints about misleading or undelivered sponsor offers will be reviewed. We may suspend hosts or refund sponsors at our discretion to maintain platform integrity.

Event Agendas

Hosts may add an agenda, but Eventship does not guarantee the event will follow the agenda, nor do we hold hosts accountable to it.

Links To Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Eventship.

Eventship has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Eventship shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such third-party sites or services.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Future Fees

While creating a basic account is free, we charge transaction fees on paid tickets, memberships, and sponsorships. We reserve the right to introduce new subscription fees for premium platform features.

Financial Transactions and Fees

Hosted Events & Memberships: Hosts are responsible for managing their event's financial transactions and community memberships, including ticket sales and recurring subscription billing through the Service.

Transaction Fees: Fees may apply to financial transactions, including event ticket sales, sponsorships, and host membership subscriptions. See our Pricing Page for details.

Cancellation and Refunds: Hosts are responsible for setting and managing their own cancellation and refund policies for events. Membership subscriptions are generally non-refundable except as described in the "Membership Cancellations" section below.

Revenue Collection: Hosts must manage revenue collection and comply with applicable tax regulations.

Credit Card Disputes: If an attendee or member disputes a charge through their credit card provider, the host is solely responsible for handling the dispute. Any chargeback fees or penalties incurred are the host's responsibility. Eventship is not liable for any financial losses due to disputed charges.

Digital Sponsorship Payouts: Hosts who enable digital sponsors may receive payments based on verified interactions. See "Digital Sponsors" above for payout conditions.

Credit Card Disputes and Recovery of Fees

If an attendee disputes a charge through their credit card provider, the host is solely responsible for handling the dispute. Any chargeback fees, dispute fees, or penalties incurred as a result of disputes are the host's responsibility.

By using Eventship's payment services, hosts expressly authorize Eventship to recover these amounts by:

  • Debiting the host's connected Stripe account balance,
  • Withholding such amounts from future payouts, and/or
  • Debiting the host's linked external bank account, as permitted by Stripe Connect.

Hosts acknowledge and agree that Eventship may initiate these debits automatically upon notice of a dispute or chargeback, and that such debits are binding under these Terms.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Refunds for Canceled Events by Host: If a host cancels an event, all registered guests will receive a refund for their ticket price. However, platform and payment processing fees are not refundable to the host and will be retained by Eventship and our payment processor.

Refunds for Cancellations by Guests: If a guest cancels their own registration, they will receive a refund for the ticket price minus the applicable platform and processing fees. These fees are non-refundable and will be deducted automatically at the time of refund.

Host-Controlled Refund Settings

Each host may define their own refund policy for guest-initiated cancellations. When setting up an event, hosts can choose between:

  • No Refunds: Guests will not receive a refund if they cancel.
  • Conditional Refunds: Hosts may specify a time limit (e.g., "refunds allowed up to 48 hours before the event") during which refunds are permitted.

These policies are clearly displayed on each event page so that guests are aware of the refund conditions before registering.

Membership Cancellation Policy

Subscriber Cancellation: Members may cancel their recurring subscription at any time via their user settings.

Effect of Cancellation: Cancellation stops future billing. You will retain access to the Community and Membership benefits until the end of your current billing period.

No Refunds: Payments for memberships are non-refundable. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months or unused access, except where required by law.

Host Cancellation: If a Host discontinues a membership tier, billing will cease immediately. Hosts are responsible for communicating any such changes to their members.

Referral & Incentive Programs

Eventship may offer programs that reward users for referring new event hosts or participants to the platform, including the Eventship Ambassador Program.

These programs are governed by separate terms and conditions which are provided at the time of enrollment. By participating, you agree to those program-specific terms, including eligibility requirements (such as minimum attendee counts or geographic stipulations), compensation structures, and fraud prevention policies.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue these programs at any time and to withhold rewards in cases of abuse, ineligibility, self-referral, or violation of our terms.
