The Convergence Is Here For over 2.5 years, AI × BIO × SD has quietly become the gathering place for those building at the blurring edge of artificial intelligence and biosciences. San Diego is a global leader in life sciences and a rising force in AI - and this invite-only salon series brings together founders, researchers, and operators who are shaping the future where these two worlds collide. This isn’t a panel. It’s not a pitch night. It’s a high-trust, off-the-record space for peer-level conversation and collaboration. This Month’s Spotlight: Nick Edwards, PhD Founder & CEO, Potato Nick is building one of the most ambitious visions at the intersection of AI and biology: a research assistant that scientists can trust. Potato is pioneering reproducibility in bioscience by turning literature into protocols, automating routine decisions in experimental design, and allowing researchers to focus on high-leverage thinking. Their platform doesn’t just assist - it helps test thousands of hypotheses rapidly while showing exactly how every decision was made. Why Attend? 🌱 Frontier Insight Go beyond surface-level AI talk. Hear firsthand how reproducibility, data lineage, and automation are transforming lab workflows. 🤝 Curated Connections We handpick every attendee to ensure meaningful conversations among peers and future collaborators. 🌊 Local Edge, Global Impact This is about San Diego’s advantage in the AI × BIO revolution — and how we grow it together. What to Expect Networking Reception — Unwind and connect over light refreshments. Keynote Conversation with Nick Edwards — Hear the Potato origin story and the state of AI for science. Open Dialogue — We close with group discussion to synthesize insights and spark new directions. This is not a passive experience. You are part of the room because you are shaping this space.
