Don't Miss "MDAP Interactive Performance, a groundbreaking biofeedback experience at Sound by the Sea on Friday, September 19 from 7PM-11PM! Step into a hybrid performance-installation where your body becomes the instrument. Experience your heartbeat, brainwaves, breath, and movement transformed into immersive audiovisual art in real-time. The evening begins with an artist talk introducing how technology can foster a deeper connection between body, data, and perception. This is followed by a live performance using biometric signals, then YOU'RE invited to connect to the system and experience your own data as dynamic sound and visuals. More than a tech demo, MDAP is an invitation to reimagine our relationship with technology as a symbiotic, embodied practice—where your physiological data reveals its inner beauty through art. The experience is FREE and open to all participants during the event! About the Host Eng. Mario D. Alvarado explores hybrid projects that combine experimental practices with biofeedback sensors, musical composition, and audiovisual performance. He is a musician, composer, and creative programmer who combines technology and art to generate music using body movement, brain waves, heart rate, and breathing. Through various software algorithms and biofeedback sensors, he uses the human body and its biological processes to create audiovisual pieces, inviting the user to explore themselves as a composer and creator, resulting in a wide range of effects on the participant, which include sound therapy, mindfulness, and psychomotor exploration. MDAP has toured Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United States; one of its most recent presentations was at the LA Design Festival, Mutek Mexico, and in Venice, Italy, at the opening of Pavilion 0/4 “Beyond Code and Time” organized by Mediations Biennale and World Design Capital.
