Hera Hub Carlsbad · 5938 Priestly Dr ste 103, Carlsbad, CA 92008, USA
Hosted by Premium Discovery Group, S.P.C.

Join us on Friday 7/17/2026 (9:30-11:00 am PDT) for our July “Tea Chat” to meet Matthew Kunicki, Founder & CEO of Interro IQ, a company providing next-generation high-parameter flow cytometry research services that integrate deep learning. He is based in Carlsbad, California. Let’s learn more about Matthew and his founding team at Interro IQ, and their current offerings. Please note, this hybrid event will use the Hera Hub branch location at Carlsbad for in-person attendees. While founding Interro IQ in June 2024, Matthew was Mass Cytometry Core Program Manager at UC San Diego Health (May 2024 – February 2025). Before that, he held various roles in Pfizer (April 2017 – April 2024), including Senior Scientist in the Oncology Research Division of Pfizer, supporting flow cytometry applications, data management, and analysis across early development and pre-clinical divisions. Earlier, he worked for Stanford University School of Medicine as an Associate Research Scientist (December 2014 – March 2017), characterizing regulatory T-cell dysfunction in autoimmunity and immune deficiency using mass cytometry. Prior to his industry career, Matthew served in multiple internship roles at both Children's Hospital of Orange County (2010 and 2014) and The Scripps Research Institute (June 2006 – August 2006). He received a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University (CSU), Long Beach in 2012, where he was recognized as an Abstract Winner in Regenerative Medicine & Stem Cells and a Presidents' Commission Scholar. His published work introduced research on human peripheral Th and T regulatory cells, stem cell resources for Autism Spectrum Disorders, flow cytometry in drug discovery, and antitumor immunity. His top expertise is in conventional, spectral, and mass cytometry. Matthew is known for skills in translational science, self-directed learning, and philosophy. Matthew recurrently saw the struggle research teams faced when integrating flow cytometry into complex, AI-driven drug development strategies. The core of this problem is interoperability, which involves standardization and simplification. Solving it would accelerate medicine and research discovery using cytometry, the tool immunology has trusted for over 50 years. He thus founded Interro IQ, to provide expertise in flow cytometry—ranging from blood collection to AI modeling and data analysis—offering clinicians and scientists the most comprehensive approach to screen immune responses for therapeutic development and healthcare research. It is dedicated to supporting medical breakthroughs and represents a technology platform you can trust for the most demanding healthcare challenges.
