Assessing Generative AI for Mental Healthcare: What evidence do we need before putting generative AI in patients’ hands? This session introduces a research-based framework for assessing patient-facing AI across technical performance, clinical validity, expert perceptions, and user perceptions. A pilot study of a chatbot for student stress management illustrates the expert and user assessment dimensions, offering practical lessons, limitations, and questions that must be addressed before deployment. David Feinberg, MD, Chairman @ Oracle | Healthcare, Medicine, Health IT, draws on his experience as a physician and leader at UCLA Health, Geisinger, Google Health, and Cerner to explore how AI and connected health data could give caregivers more time with patients and make care more accessible, personal, and effective. Moderator: Stephanie Sharron, Partner, Morrison & Foerster LLP Workforce Development | Beyond the Model: The Human Work that Makes AI Work: A candid look at how AI is reshaping healthcare careers, from emerging roles to changing clinical responsibilities. Three panelists share their career paths, what working alongside AI looks like day to day, and the skills healthcare professionals need to navigate what's next.
