Mobility Meetup is an intimate gathering for people with experience using mobility devices, including canes, white canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs, as well as family members, friends, caregivers, and others who have been close to someone who uses one. We’re starting a conversation about mobility. What works well about today’s devices and the environments we navigate? What creates unnecessary barriers? What could be better? Our mission is to Inspire Movement. These conversations help bring greater awareness to disability, mobility, and the many different ways people interact with and move through the world. This will be a relaxed backyard gathering at a private residence. Come hang out, meet others, grab some snacks and drinks, and share as much or as little as you’d like. Snacks, drinks, and seating will be provided. Guests may arrive beginning at 6:00 PM, and we’ll wrap up the group conversation by 7:30 PM. Each Mobility Meetup is limited to 6 RSVPs to keep the conversation intimate. Support persons are welcome and do not count toward the RSVP limit. You can identify a support person and any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
