They told us to be perfect. To put our best face forward. To keep all our ducks in a row and never let anyone see us sweat. How’s that working out? Perfect is not real. And honestly, it can be a pretty toxic idea. So yes, in this workshop we’re going to paint. But not in the way you might expect. The Art of Imperfection is a painting experience designed to help you loosen your grip on perfection while making something playful, weird, and wonderfully your own. We’ll probably paint an animal, but the real point is not technical mastery. It’s learning how to let go, trust the process, and make room for mess, experimentation, and surprise. This is about flexing the muscle of imperfection in a fun, low-pressure way and seeing what happens when you stop trying to get it exactly right. The workshop is 1 hour and 45 minutes long, and all materials are included. Just bring yourself, maybe a friend, and wear something you do not mind getting a little messy. It will be hosted in my lovely backyard on the border of South Park and North Park.
