Startup Train | Portland Startup Week 2026 All aboard for one of the most unique startup events of the year. Startup Train is a rolling pitch and networking experience that brings founders, investors, and ecosystem builders together on a 3-hour journey from Seattle to Portland. We’ll depart from King Street Station on the 8:55am train and head south to Union Station, turning the ride into a high-energy, community-driven extension of Portland Startup Week. The first hour is all about connection. Meet fellow travelers, spark conversations, and build relationships with founders and investors from across the Pacific Northwest. Then we shift into pitch mode, where selected founders will share their ideas in front of a live audience right in the lounge car. We’ll wrap up the final hour with more networking, giving you time to dive deeper into conversations and connections made along the way. This event is independently organized and is not affiliated with Amtrak. All attendees are responsible for purchasing their own train ticket (coach tickets are recommended). Once onboard, we’ll gather in the lounge car for programming. Startup Train is more than just a ride, it’s a bridge between Seattle and Portland’s startup communities and a memorable kickoff to a week full of innovation, collaboration, and momentum.
