You have been using AI to build your app. Now you are going to put AI inside your app. This session teaches you how to add intelligent features to your product: chatbots, content generation, data analysis, smart recommendations, and more. This is where your product starts doing things that would have required an entire engineering team a few years ago. And you are going to build it in two hours. What You Will Learn • How AI APIs work. A plain-language explanation of how your app sends a question to an AI and gets an answer back. No computer science required. • Choosing the right AI for your feature. When to use Claude, OpenAI, or other models depending on what you are building. • Building a chatbot. How to add conversational AI to your app so users can ask questions and get intelligent answers. • Content generation. How to build features that write, summarize, or transform text based on user input. • Working with API keys safely. How to connect to AI services without accidentally exposing your credentials. What You Will Walk Away With • At least one AI-powered feature working in your project. • An understanding of how to add AI capabilities to any future feature. • Knowledge of the cost implications so you do not accidentally run up a bill. Prerequisites This session assumes you have some experience building with AI coding tools. You will get the most out of it if: • You have a working project with a database connected (or are comfortable with the concepts from Session 5). • You are comfortable working in Cursor or a browser-based AI coding tool.
