Village Up: Pitch-A-Founder
Thursday, October 22, 2026, 6:00 PM PDT – 8:00 PM PDT
Hera Hub San Diego · 6170 Cornerstone Ct E Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92121, USA
Hosted by Village Up
Get ready for San Diego's most entertaining startup crossover event! As an official part of San Diego Idea Week and presented in connection with Connect, Pitch-a-Founder is turning traditional, stiff startup pitching on its head. Inspired by viral "pitch-a-friend" dating nights, we’re ditching the boring corporate jargon for good vibes, inside jokes, and raw community love. Instead of founders pitching themselves, their biggest champions, co-founders, or best friends step up to the mic to passionately (and hilariously) hype them up, share their vision, and make a direct community "ask": whether they're hunting for expert mentorship, a technical co-founder, or that one game-changing network intro. Come watch, cheer, and help connect San Diego's most promising local builders with the people who can help them scale! Tickets & Applying to Pitch Grab Your Ticket: Grab your ticket to join the audience, support local founders, and connect with the community. Want to Pitch a Founder? Applications to pitch are handled separately. Keep up with our socials for information on how to nominate a local founder (or yourself!) to take the stage. Support Our Mission Ready to join us?
