My name is Judith Greer Essex, PhD, Director of the Expressive Arts Institute. At the Expressive Arts Institute, we offer professional expressive arts training with diplomas and courses toward a master's degree (from EGS). This is art-based experiential education for adult learners. Our students master theory and philosophy concerned with an aesthetic and solution oriented vision of change. I am a longtime journal writer (since I was 12 and yes, I have them), sometime poet, infrequent but hilarious performer and I have nearly 40 years full time private practice in expressive arts therapy. I provide supervision in expressive arts for those who use the arts in psychotherapy or education al settings. I also give many continuing education courses, in expressive arts, journaling, sand play, dance therapy and more.
