Three years ago, a fellow swimmer told me her gay nephew tried to commit suicide. This really affirmed to me how important community is (and how wonderful the ocean swimming community is).I want to share the spirit of the swim community with LGBTQ individuals who may not have found their chosen family.And I will be giving back to the swim community. Gift cards will be presented to the janitorial staff that take care of us.
