An overview of Eventship's payment processing with Stripe.
Here's how payments flow when you sell tickets on Eventship.
Eventship uses Stripe, a trusted payment processor, to securely handle all payments.
When someone buys a ticket:
All payment information is encrypted and secure. We never see your credit card details.
Hosts need a Stripe account to receive payouts. If you're hosting paid events:
Eventship charges a small platform fee on paid tickets, plus Stripe's payment processing fee. Attendees see the full price breakdown at checkout—no hidden fees.
Hosts can choose to absorb fees (attendees pay exactly the listed price) or pass fees to the attendee (fees are added at checkout). Configure this per ticket type in your event settings.
Free events don't have fees. Anyone can register without paying.
If someone cancels their ticket:
If you cancel the event, all attendees are automatically refunded in full.
If a payment fails:
As an attendee, contact the host if you have questions about a charge.
As a host, check your Stripe account for detailed payment and payout reports.
