QR code check-in

Use the scanner to check in attendees at the door.

Each attendee gets a unique QR code for their ticket. Hosts and team members can scan these codes to check people in as they arrive. It's quick, contactless, and keeps your guest list accurate.

Get Your QR Code

When you buy a ticket, you'll receive a confirmation email with your unique QR code. You can also find it on the My Tickets page in your account. The QR code stays the same whether you're attending in person or online.

Scan Check-Ins at Your Event

You can scan from either the web dashboard or the Eventship mobile app.

On mobile: Open your event, tap "Scan tickets" in the Host tools card, and allow camera access the first time. The camera opens with a scan reticle — point it at the attendee's QR code.

On web: Open your event dashboard and click the scanner option. Point your phone's camera at the attendee's QR code. The scanner works on any smartphone with a camera.

What Happens When You Scan

You'll see the attendee's name and ticket type right away. Confirm they match, then tap to check them in. The system marks them as present instantly. The scanner stays open so you can continue to the next QR code.

Real-Time Updates

As you scan QR codes, your guest list updates in real-time. You can see check-in status from your event dashboard. Share guest list access with your team so everyone sees current numbers. This helps you track capacity and no-shows.

What If Someone Forgot Their Code?

Ask the attendee for their confirmation email and the QR code inside. If they can't find it, switch to the Search tab in the mobile scanner (or the name-search panel on web) to look them up by name or email and check them in without scanning. You can also type a printed QR code manually using the keyboard icon in the top bar.
