Edit a company or university page

Update the public page for the company you work at or the school you attended.

Every company and university on Eventship has a public page that lists upcoming events and the people from that organization who are attending. If you work at the company or attend the school, you can keep its page accurate by editing the details directly.

Who can edit a page

You can edit a company or university page if either of the following is true:

  • Your email domain matches the organization's website. When you add the organization to your profile (under Companies or Education in profile settings), Eventship checks whether your account email ends with the same domain as the organization's website. If it does, you are automatically verified and an Edit button appears on the page.
  • A staff member has manually verified you. If you use a personal email (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud) but you genuinely belong to the organization, contact [email protected] and we can mark you as verified.

Adding an organization to your profile alone is not enough to edit it. The verification check is to prevent someone from creating a page for a company they have no connection to and then editing it.

How to edit the page

  1. Sign in to Eventship
  2. Go to the company or university page (for example, eventship.com/organization/your-company)
  3. Click the Edit button in the top right of the header (only visible if you are verified)
  4. Update any of the editable fields below
  5. Click Save changes

Your changes appear on the page immediately. There is no review queue.

What you can edit

Both companies and universities

  • Name — the display name shown in the header
  • Description — a short summary of what the organization does
  • Banner — the wide background image at the top of the page
  • Logo icon — the square logo used in event lists and avatars
  • Logo wide — the wider, horizontal logo used on the page header
  • HQ / Location — the city or region the organization is based in
  • Year founded — the year the organization started
  • Industries — comma-separated list (for example, AI, SaaS, Developer tools)
  • Socials — links for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, GitHub, YouTube, and Crunchbase

Companies only

  • Kind — the type of company (for example, Public company, Startup, Nonprofit)
  • Company size — pick from 1-10, 11-50, 51-200, 201-500, 501-1000, 1001-5000, or 5000+

What you cannot change

  • Website — the website URL is fixed once the organization is created. It is what Eventship uses for verification and matching, so changing it would break those links.
  • Slug / URL — the page URL stays the same so links shared previously keep working.
  • Verification badge — the blue "Verified" check is granted by Eventship staff and cannot be self-applied.

If you need to change the website or merge two duplicate organization pages, contact [email protected].

Tips

  • Use a square logo (at least 400×400) for the icon and a wider one for the wide logo so it looks good in both places
  • A clear one-sentence description does more than a long paragraph — it shows up in search and previews
  • Adding industries helps your page surface to the right people on Eventship
  • Social links open in a new tab — make sure they go to the official accounts
