Transfer a ticket

Send your ticket to someone else when you can't attend.

If your plans change, you can pass your ticket to a friend, family member, or colleague so the spot doesn't go to waste.

How transfers work

When you transfer a ticket, the other person becomes the ticket holder right away:

  • They get the ticket and a fresh QR code for check-in
  • If they don't have an Eventship account, we create one for them with their email
  • Both of you get a confirmation email
  • No payment changes hands. If you paid, the receipt stays with you

Transfers are instant and can't be undone. Make sure you have the right email before you confirm.

Transfer your ticket

  1. Sign in and go to My tickets
  2. Open the ticket you want to transfer
  3. Click Transfer ticket
  4. Enter the recipient's email address
  5. If they already have an Eventship account, we'll show their name. If not, you can add their first and last name
  6. Click Transfer ticket to confirm

The recipient gets an email with the event details and their new ticket.

After a transfer

  • Your old QR code and wallet pass stop working
  • The ticket no longer appears under your My tickets
  • The new holder can transfer it again if their plans change

When you can't transfer a ticket

A ticket can't be transferred if:

  • It has already been used to check in at the event
  • The registration isn't confirmed yet
  • The event has ended or was cancelled
  • The recipient is already registered for the same event
  • You're sending it to your own email

Tips

  • Double-check the recipient's email—transfers are instant and final
  • Transfer early so the new holder has time to plan
  • The new holder should save their own wallet pass
  • Need a refund instead of a transfer? Cancel your registration from the ticket page
