Event feedback

Collect ratings and reviews from attendees, speakers, and venues.

Collect ratings and reviews from your attendees after your event ends. Feedback helps you improve future events and understand what worked.

How it works

When feedback is enabled, Eventship automatically emails your attendees after the event ends asking them to rate their experience. Attendees can rate the event overall, individual speakers, and the venue.

Enable feedback

Feedback is enabled by default for new events. You can toggle it on or off:

  1. Go to your event's manage page
  2. Click the Feedback action item
  3. Toggle feedback on or off

You can also set a default for all future events from your host settings.

What attendees see

After the event, attendees receive an email with the subject "How was [event name]?" with a link to the feedback page. On that page they can:

  • Rate the event (1-5 stars, required) with an optional comment
  • Rate each speaker (1-5 stars, optional) if the event had speakers
  • Rate the venue (1-5 stars, optional) if the event had a venue selected

Attendees don't need to sign in to leave feedback. The email link authenticates them automatically.

View results

  1. Go to your event's manage page
  2. Click the Feedback action item
  3. You'll see:

- Average rating and total responses

- Rating distribution (how many 1-star, 2-star, etc.)

- Individual feedback entries with names and comments

- Per-speaker ratings and comments (if applicable)

- Venue ratings and comments (if applicable)

Customize the feedback email

You can add a custom message to the feedback email:

  1. Open the Feedback section in your event's manage page
  2. Expand the email customization section
  3. Write your message (e.g., "Thanks for joining us!")
  4. Send yourself a preview to see how it looks

Tips

  • Enable feedback before your event goes live so it's automatically scheduled
  • The feedback email is sent about 2 hours after your event ends
  • Attendees can update their feedback if they change their mind
  • Speaker and venue ratings help you decide which speakers to invite back and which venues to use again
  • You'll get a notification email when someone leaves feedback with a comment
